Super User Tin Posted August 18, 2009 Super User Posted August 18, 2009 It looks official... Farve is on a plane heading to Minnesota and multiple other stations are reporting he will sign with the Vikings today. Quote
bmadd Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Was just gonna post the same thing. Seems legit. I think he just retires every year so he can miss camp. Quote
Super User Tin Posted August 18, 2009 Author Super User Posted August 18, 2009 I'm actually pretty excited for him to play with the Vikings. They should win all there games against NFC north teams. They have 3 really challenging games this year against Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, against Carolina in Carolina, and at home against the Giants. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted August 18, 2009 Super User Posted August 18, 2009 I was a big Favre fan for the longest time but with all this back and forth, it's gone way past 'getting old'. I've lost a lot of respect for the guy. The NFL should just 'Pete Rose' him and be done with it. Quote

I've lost a lot of respect for the guy. Unfortunately,I'm feeling the same way now. > He "was" one of my favorite ball players. :-/ Quote
nateobot Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 He is a bit of prima donna, but we will take it for a year. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Love it DA BEARS D gets to go at him again! ;D Quote
Super User 5bass Posted August 18, 2009 Super User Posted August 18, 2009 Love it DA BEARS D gets to go at him again! ;D They wont have any problem catching him if he takes off running with it....but then again, they never had any problems with that before, did they? ;D You know, what really gets me is that he's pulling this crap again on the same day the story broke about my boy Tom Cable slugging his defensive assistant. It's the hardest that any Raider has hit anyone in about 5 or 6 years. That's big news right there! Quote
Super User Tin Posted August 18, 2009 Author Super User Posted August 18, 2009 Cutler isnt that much better than Orton. ;D Quote
Branuss04 Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Huh... Thought this was going to be a thread about spiderbites :-/ Quote

Super User Matt Fly Posted August 19, 2009 Super User Posted August 19, 2009 I never had ill feelings for George Blanda playing into in his 40's. Then again, the Raiders wasn't trying to boot him to the curb either like the Packers did. LOL, has every one forgot, the Pack was 13-3 that year with Favre, Just missed the Super Bowl by a game, and the next year with Rodgers, a losing record. Packers management should be shot for pushing Bret out the door after a 13-3 season. LMAO Quote

Packers management should be shot for pushing Bret out the door after a 13-3 season. LMAO I agree Matt. The Pack did him wrong. Would they have done that though if he would've refrained from playing the 'I'm retiring, no wait, I want to play again' thing? He's flipped more times than a hamburger at McDonalds. This dominates sports news every offseason and I'm tired of hearing about it. Plus, if he gets hurt or has a bad season, he's bringing down the value of my Brett Favre rookie card for pete's sake. Quote
1inStripes Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 The Pack didn't do him a bit wrong, they just decided to move on, and focus on being a better team for the future. Favre wasn't going to make a difference in their performance last year. Rodgers had one of the better seasons last year among all QBs. Injuries were the downfall of the Pack. A good portion of their OL and defense missed a lot of time last year. Its not like Favre is Mr. Clutch under pressure anyway. Quote
Eddie Munster Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Someone call Favre and tell him the Sun is the center of our Solar system and not where ever he's standing. What a d-bag. Quote
