I can't name a favorite fast food restarurant, because at certain times I crave a certain one. You have to look at who is the best at what they do.

Taco Bueno- I don't think these are everywhere, but they blow Taco Bell out of the water. They have real queso and salsa. Been eating there since I was little.  Taco Cabana is great, but not a true fast food restaurant joint.

Arby's- Oh lord I love me some Arby's. Arby's has a unique product, nobody just 'craves' a roast beef sandwich, but you sure as heck crave Arbys. Their roast beef is uber flavorful, and they have some unique side items such as potato cakes (potato cakes rule). Their beef and cheddar or french dip paired with potato cakes is the bomb!

Chick-Fil-A- They are simply the best at what they do. Nearly every fast food restaurant offers a chicken sandwich, but none even come close to a Chick-Fil-a sandwich (or nuggets). Their secret is in the way they cook them...they use pressure cookers.  They are actually pressure fryers.  They drop them down in the hot oil, and then lower a big lid with a lock on it which pressurizes when steam can't get out. They also use fresh chicken breast that aren't frozen, and their nuggest are just diced up fresh chicken breasts (hence why they are square). Their semi-sweet breading is also second to none.

Best fast food burger: this is more local or regional. In Tulsa, it was Lot-a-burger for me....in Dallas it's probably sonic or whataburger. I don't count Five Guys as a fast food restaurant...the one here is in a shopping center, and doesn't have a drive through.

Wow, that's cool that Five Guys has spread all the way down to OK. I ate there when there was only one restaurant. The original is in Annandale, VA and it's a real dive of a place but all the local yuppies pack that place because the burgers are so good. A few years ago they started to franchise and now they are all over the place. That's true about the drive-in though, I don't think any of them have one.

Love me some Five Guys!

Their cajun fries are awesome and the free toppings are a nice touch.

Had some in-and-out for the first time last week also, their patties are kinda thin for the reg burger, next time I need to get the 4x4  ;D ... their fresh, cut-in-store, fries really suck though...all 3 times they've been soggy, frozen fries end up crispier I think.

We save the fast foods for road trips.     Since this is fast food thread, then Cici's is about it locally.    Pizza!!!!!    We no longer have Pizza Hut, murder shut that one down, dominoes delivers, Ceasars is pick up, so Cici's is our only dine in choice.

I can fry a burger cheaper and better, make better mexican food and do, a fry daddy whips out better steak frys than most places.

I feel guilty now days spending 10 bucks on junk food, when 10 dollars at the store goes further.

Simon, would you say, then, that in your opinion, Five Guys is better than In-N-Out?

I love our dairy queen here! I always get their burgers. 2 doubles for 3.33 plus tax. They always make them right then and there so they are burning mouth hot fresh.

Plus they have loads of cheese all over wrapper too eat off!  8-)
