To have Favre come out of retirement AGAIN and go to the vikequeens?

I got to admit I loved Favre, and still like him a lot but this is a low blow.  Might have to sell my autographed football.

Starting to feel like the Michael Jordan retirement shenanigans.

Wow how does this compare to MJ? Brett is doing this just to dodge Training Camp. MJ never did that.He just could not let the game go.

Guess I didn't view it as dodging training camp, that hadn't even crossed my mind... was viewing it more as this being the 2nd time he has come out of retirement because he can't let the game go.

I don't care for the drama he brings.  My opinion is, we need a new coach.  We DO need a good QB, but this stupid little stunt smacks only of flustered desperation to me (on Childress part mainly) .  Don't know about other fans opinions but I think it a bad move.  I guess we'll see what comes of it.

Where's he gonna end up next year?  ::)

The one thing that Brett will have going for him is the BEAST they have for a running back, Mr. Peterson!!  Should help keep Brett off the turf and take some of the pressure off that he had in New York.

Later, :)

Yeah MN does have one hellova running game to back him up.  I think they are going to have a solid team... I will hate to see him here at Lambeau in purple and gold though.

Someone still thinks he has something to offer or he would be getting that kind of money for a one year deal.

Oh, next year, Chicago Bears.

Favre really is a "Drama Queen" , he set it up so he would be the center of attention when he came back. He knew Vick would be the big story so he waited until the furor over Vick died down to make his dramatic entrance.

You better check the JETS out alittle, they had great Running game with Jones, a good defense as well.

Not much difference in the situations, other than Bret plays in a dome instead of outdoors.

Mid season, the analyst had the Jets as the team to beat in the AFC last year.    How did that work out?   Jets missed the playoffs.

Preseason, Minnesota was contending for div title, now, with Bret signed, the experts say they are contender for Super Bowl.

I'm starting to view this a Brets way to punish the Packers for pushing him out the door.

Yup, they just went from a 10-6/11-5 team to a team that can win 14 games.

I just hope everyone else can stay healthy.  Getting Favrah is great and all, but if Adrian goes down, the Williams' get suspended, Allen's foot injury is bad, etc... It ain't gonna matter much.

I think Childress knew that he had to make something happen this year or he was gone.  That wasn't going to happen with Sage or Tarvaris, so he made what he thought was the best move and that was to get Favrah.

Need a refresher course:

Why did Brett leave or get thrown out of NY?

yea, the Jets and the Vikes are about the same, having good running, defence and having a desperate coach who wants to win at all cost. And that cost Manginni his job, when he could not win. Favre brought a lot of locker room drama, remember Jones comments about him?

the part I see different is that, the Jets send his former QB to Miami, but the Vikes still have the two other guys who were supposed to be competting for the job, how thrill do you think they are right about now? do you really think Favre getting special treatment will sit right with everyone in that locker room? I am not so sure.

But he will not come to the Bears, the Lions can have him as far as I am concern. ;D ;D

Vikes fans should be elated.

Favre didn't do this for the money, not one penny.      Don't forget, Bret was offered 25 mil last year to just set home and not play.

Pack offered him some serious cheese to set on the couch.

This is about the way Bret feels he was treated his last few months in GB.

This is pure revenge factor on Brets part.

Vikes should feel good, they have a motivated Favre with a two headed agenda.    Revenge and a very good shot at the Title

Its not about the Cheese, well, in one sense it is and it isn't.    lol

No matter how you feel about Favre, he's a better QB than any other option they had.  They will be a better team with him than without him.

I really don't like MN but I hope they win the super bowl just so Favre can give all the nay sayers the bird!!

I'm still going to cry when I see him in green bay in purple and gold  :'(.  I still like him as a player and know he is a good guy from meeting him.  I did not  agree with how GB treated him but at the same time I can see their side of things, he kept saying he was leaving and coming back.... if he had said "I got 3-4 years left in me" they would have kept him on the starting line up.  But how fair is it to sit on Aaron Rodgers with Brett changing his mind every month.   Still like him as a player but it is going to hurt seeing him in those colors and lambeau

That would be like Roger Staubach playing for the Redskins.

That would be hard pill to swallow as a Boys fan.

I think Favre gets the bird from GB fans for a few years, but when the dust settles, in 10 years or so, they'll honor him as there own and blame it on the management and all is forgiven.

The Jets drafted Sanchez.  Brett retired.  This allowed the Jets to release him and not have to use a roster spot on him.  Since he was retired/released it allowed him to pick who he wanted to play for.

I think its interesting the the NFC Norris division now has a bunch of gunslingers in the division with Farve, Cutler, and Rogers.  Some experts are also high on the kid from Detroit as a potential slinger as well.

If everyone stays healthy, I think A.P. might run wild with an effective passing game.

The CARS Act requires that the trade-in vehicle be crushed or shredded so that it will not be resold for use in the United States or elsewhere. The entity crushing or shredding the vehicles in this manner will be allowed to sell some parts of the vehicle prior to crushing or shredding it, but these parts cannot include the engine or the drive train.

Brett may have pushed this to far!
