Low_Budget_Hooker Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Mine would be DooDads by Nabisco,.....man I miss that stuff. There are a bunch of recipes out there to make your own but none ever come out the same. The discontinuation of "Tid Bits" one of the 5 main ingredients, was the reason given by Nabisco for it's demise :-[ :'( > Quote

mrlitetackle Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 not really a snack, but along the lines of fav. discontinued crap that we love...... starfruit flavored gatorade........ i hated that they took this flavor off so much that i honestly wrote a letter to gatorade and questioned their reasoning...... they told me that the flavor being tested did not sell up to standards and "consoled" me with the loss of my favorite flavor with many free coupons for gatorade products..... not bad PR in my opinion...... BUT I STILL WANT MY STARFRUIT GATORADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted July 22, 2009 BassResource.com Administrator Posted July 22, 2009 Suzy Q's. I used to miss "Flicks", but they brought it back. There's another, but I can't remember what it was called. It was something you bought at the store in the baking isle and made at home. It was a layered dessert you made in a glass. It had pudding-like chocolate layers and was topped with a HARD, thick chocolate topping. You froze it in the freezer. I don't recall what it was called, however. Another is O'Grady's potato chips. I think those were a west coast thing, but MAN were those good! The absolute thickest, crunchiest potato chip you'll ever have! The cheddar chips were especially good. I think they went out of business in the early 90's. DooDads... dang, I hadn't realized those were discontinued. ? Quote
simplejoe Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Quote Suzy Q's. PM me your address Glenn I'll send some out to you. My wife buys them all the time for my kids. joe Quote

I believe they sell it in 1 liters here in Chicago. Funny you bring up DADS, my wife and I were talking about it the other day. PB Max's were great. Heck, I could go for a PBMax and DADS rootbeer right now. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted July 22, 2009 Super User Posted July 22, 2009 Glenn, I could swear I still see Suzie Q's in my grocery store. I'll check for ya next time I go. None of mine are discontinued yet. Bluberry pop tarts, Little Debbie Swiss cake rolls and chocolate Ding Dongs. Quote
1inStripes Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Bringing up Gatorade, I cannot find Citrus Cooler anymore. That was my favorite. I could go for it about any time of day. Quote

I can not agree with you anymore. I was ranting about this today at work. Was pretty much my only flavor for about 15-20 years, and then they just rip it away!! Bastages! Anybody else remember O'Boises potato chips. They were made by Keebler & were the bomb. Best food to leave & then make a comeback.....Pudding Pops Quote
Super User burleytog Posted July 22, 2009 Super User Posted July 22, 2009 Bringing up Gatorade, I cannot find Citrus Cooler anymore. That was my favorite. I could go for it about any time of day. Yep, I lived on the stuff in HS and college. Mom would buy it by the case. I miss the original Pudding Pop. The newer version sucks. Quote

I do miss cadberry eggs when it is not easter, does that count? -gk Cadberry used to sell an egg that was filled with chocolate goo instead of the egg yok looking stuff. I bought a dozen that year, but have yet to see them on the shelves again. This was about 4 years ago. They were really good. Quote
Eddie Munster Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Buffalo and blue cheese Cheezit Twists. Man those were good. Not really discontinued but you can't find it in stores: Cherry Fanta. Only place to get it is Zaxby's on the fountain machine. Jerks got me strung out on that. Quote

Super User cart7t Posted July 23, 2009 Super User Posted July 23, 2009 Bar B Que Fritos. You find them at Wally world every once in awhile but it seems like the Chili cheese flavor is the overwhelming favorite. Those are a touch too strong for my tastes. Quote
