Super User flechero Posted July 27, 2009 Super User Posted July 27, 2009 Congrats, buddy!! Exactly how long does it take to get used to the new metal on my left hand? Takes a while, especially if you are into, fishing, golf, shooting, anything with hand tools, etc. And if you are LEFT handed, it's WAY worse!! I have to take it off to fish, golf, shooting range and several other things. But the indention and discoloration of where it sits are so bad, it looks like a ring is still on, when it's not. ;D Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 27, 2009 Super User Posted July 27, 2009 The mark of a good union is when you wear a ring on your finger and not through your nose Quote
BadKarma42 Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Well, they guy has a tungston ring, so he ought to feel every bit of it! But seriously, I was a part of the wedding and it was very nice. I was honored to be a part of their special day. The ceremony was very nice and the reception was a lot of fun. Wayne has also been a great guy with his priorities straight. These qualities have improved since he met Lauren. Congrats to the newlyweds! Quote
Super User Alpster Posted July 28, 2009 Super User Posted July 28, 2009 Way to go Wayne!!! Enjoy your honeymoon! Wear the ring proudly my man! Ronnie Quote
Tim1980 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Congrats! It took me about 3 or 4 months to get used to my ring. I was always getting "the look" for spinning it on a table when we were out to eat. You will find out about the look in probally 6 months or so. The girlfriend look and the wife look are different. Being married is great, good luck. Quote
bassman31783 Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Wait wait wait. You got married on the 25th of july 2009? If so thats pretty cool. So did I. HAHA. Yeah I sure as heck have not gotten used to the thing. Can't stop pulling it off then putting it back on. I also keep pulling it off past the first knuckle, then spinning it on the finger. She doesn't like that at all. ;D Quote
Super User Sam Posted August 7, 2009 Super User Posted August 7, 2009 You do not even realize the ring is on your finger as long as she does not put a ring through your nose. ;D ;D ;D Congrats and post some photos of honeymoon. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted August 7, 2009 Author Super User Posted August 7, 2009 Congrats, *. ( and you too Wayne)........ ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Flech nailed it, looks like my ring finger is permanently mangled, and the palm side has calluses on both sides of the ring. Mine is worse on the palm than the finger. (oh yea, be sure to take her ring off every now and again to clean all that green off, nap-time works best ;D ) b I know you aren't lookin for advice, especially from a 29 year old, but the 'Best Friends' advice is the best advice i've seen so far.......but also remember that a little goes a LONG way with women. (...well, i guess it's the same for men ..........oops, i was trying to be serious, and see what happened) Since you are the 29 year old it's coming from, no problem. ;D Bassman, yep it was th 25th. Congrats to you too man!!! Will post pics on here at some point, gotta resize them. For the people that know me on Facebook, request Lauren as a friend. She posted the pics under her name. I told her that there may be some people she doesnt recognize requesting her as a friend so she wouldnt be ignoring them Quote
