You guys could complicate a tuna fish sandwich

Kelley: Obviously your doodlenatutin conjecture inter phase is locking out all MNR's which then go right into the PWT's and never come out.

Go to Tools then to I HATE MY COMPUTER then click and scroll down to POS and there will be a target come up in the middle of your screen, take a ball peen hammer and hit the target dead center and all your worries will be over

Geezz!!!!!!!!!!

I tried that last year Dom when I had the same problem.   It cost me a chunk of change!!!!

Valid suggestion, but I was sitting on the modem, which would have eliminated their "local" network equipment.

Well Duh, thats your problem right there... you shouldn't sit on electronics   ::)

I was having computer problems as well so I tried what you posted.  and I can't see a thing. Is this normal? Any other advice?   ;D

No it's not normal... you should still be able to see the whole... duh!!   ;D

I just got off the phone with the head guy of Internet at my ISP. He tried to double talk me into believing it was not his problem. I set his 'crap" straight in a heartbeat. They are now working on it at their end. I am dumb as a rock when it comes to computers but I can read what the experts say. I had plenty of ammo to use on him. Thanks Glenn and Brian for the 'ammo'.

That is the one thing I hate about calling any tech support line. They always try to make it your problem. I was on with Dish Network for about 2 hours on Tues. night trying to figure out a problem with an external HDD and a problem with my DVR's broadband connection.

I realize they have to cater to the lowest common denominator, but you don't have to tell me how to reboot my computer or router/modem. I know how to plug a network cable into the jack.

At least the homegrown tech support people will work with you a bit. The India people stick to their script 100% of the time.

Good job setting the guy straight Kelley. I hate it when they pull that stuff.

I always ask for someone that can speak and understand "Hillbilly".  That usually gets me someone in the USA.

Does this sound like chinese to anyone else? I mean, I am pretty computer literate and know some of these acronyms but I cannot make sense of this stuff.

I was just getting ready to post:    I don't understand words coming out of your mouths!"  Glad Im not the only one.

I have listened to some of those rather mind numbing conversations with the lowest common denominator.

Any one remember DOS, well that was my first puter, like a 486 or something like that. I was very proficient with it too, but I have let technology pass me by to the point that I UNDERSTAND ABSOLUTLY NOTHING any more.............gives me way more time to relax and go fishing. I still haven't figured out to send a text message or even why I would want to.

of course. I downloaded dos box a couple years ago so I could play my old classics: Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle, and Star Wars: Rebel Assault. Those were the best Windows 95 DOS games lol. Full Throttle was the best though, I remember my mom telling my dad that I was not allowed to play it... so funny

you are the only person I know who has heard of those games besides me and my brothers. BTW, you are forgetting Sam and Max.
