I am working on setting up an event for fishing with kids that have cancer. I have my organization's name but I am wanting to come up with something catchy for a website name for this. I have received many ideas and I like a lot of them. So far I like fishingforhope.org, castforacause.org and caretocast.org.  All three leave it open to grow out in many directions.  CareToCast rolls off of the tongue the easiest and suggests that we care, CastForACause promotes for a cause and FishingForHope says what it is.   A new poll is up.

Are you raising money for cancer or just providing special outing for the kids?

I guess I should have said that info.  Currently I run an organization that raises money to provide financial aid to families fighting cancer.  Times have been very slow lately for us.  So, I am trying to get this fishing event started to help raise money to help these families or to put towards finding a cure.  Either option is open at this time as I am still creating the event.  Most importantly it is to provide a fun day for the kids.  Many of these kids need some fun and many of the families can not afford to do anything because of what they have been going through.  I enjoy helping them and I think this would be great for many of the kids.

I am liking where this is going. Thanks guys. Somebody else suggested caretocast.org. I like Brent's idea of something that can go nation wide. And with the help of people like you guys, it can be done.

So far I like the following choices in order:

cast for a cause is nice because its not limited to cancer, gives you the option to expand.

cast for a cure is also good if you're going to stick with cancer benefits.

I know this is a little off topic, but i see a great idea here.

CastForACause could be a nationwide program where communites fish for whatever cause they might have. (obviously, yours would go to cancer, but others might buy new b-ball goals, or park benches, or whatev.) You have a tough job ahead of you deciding which way to go with it.

Brent, that idea is really grabbing at me now.  I like that whatever cause thing.  Nice thinking.  You know what everyone, I like the castforacause.org.  Thank you to everyone for all of your great suggestions.

you could do a poll on this site and see which gets the highest vote percentage.

Also, see if some of the sponsors could donate some product, and see if any users could donate some old rods and stuff for the kids to use. Just a thought. I'd throw in some dollars towards the event. Fishing is a great lifetime activity, and feel its much better to get into while young.

Ok then.  CastForACause.org has been registered.  Now the fun part, trying to create a website for it.  LOL...if anyone knows somebody that is really good with web design and might be willing to design a nice one for a charitable organization for free please let me know.    But Thank you for all of the support!!!!
