I quit dipping 7 years ago, and my buddy is wanting to quit now, has anyone tried this stuff or any other alternative? What were your thoughts?

Mint Snuff. http://www.mintsnuff.com/

It's pretty good if you like that wintergreen.

I tried it once and liked it....but i really don't have a desire to quit dipping just yet.I really need to think about quitting though.

Another person i know did the tac candy thing....everytime he craved he just popped in a tac. ;D

I quit after 10 yrs of reliable copenhagen use. You kow how I quit? I just stopped buying it. The craving were there, especially while golfing and fishing. But I didn't buy any so therefore I didn't have any to use. Just stop buying it and don't bum it off people. It's that simple.

Hard habit to break.

But since it causes cancer and other problems, it must be broken.

I gave my friend who chews a medical report outlining the damage chewing tobacco does to the body.

He is now trying to quit and I am constantly on his case about it and am asking his family and friends to be pains in his behind about it, too.

So far, he has quit. But the truth will be shown at the September NASCAR race in Richmond where he loves to chew.  :)

Do not get that bacc off stuff, it's a gimmic, I bought some one time just to see what it was about, and it was horrible.

If he's gonna quit just do it cold turkey, get candy to replace the dip when he gets a craving.

My dad stopped dippin' one time for about a week.... and then he realized he was smoking half of his buddies cigarettes :o, he figured dippin' was the lesser of the two evils. :)

Well yea, but they could have at least gave it a decent flavor. ;)

Sunflower seeds seem to do the trick also. The only down side is the salt kills your mouth at first, but after you get use to it, its not that bad.

Exactly, that's what I did.  I didn't use as long as you did and it would take me 2 weeks to go through one can but now I can't even stand to smell it hardly.
