bass or bass ? Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Bob Osborn ( or is it Jim Osborn?) played bass on nearly everything Hal Blaine played on. What a rhythm section! Leon Russel is probably the #2 piano session man, laid down tracks with Frank Sinatra! Quote
Super User Muddy Posted August 6, 2009 Author Super User Posted August 6, 2009 The thing I learned from Hal that I used was getting a 4 piece kit tuned, then loosing one lug on each of the 2 Toms ; opened em up wide and deep that way! Quote

wagn Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Hey Muddy. I really appreciate these music posts that you have been putting up lately. I think we have in general a different taste in music. But your posts are really helping me learn about the history of music in this country and exposing me to alot of stuff I just haven't had experience with. Thanks again. Quote
electrikal Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I had the privilege of doing some electrical work for Rodger Hawkins here in Muscle Shoals. Great guy, amazing stories! Unfortunately, for him & the music world, he has developed Tinunitus and can't play the drums any longer. Quote
