Eddie Munster Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 The only thing this leaking of names one at a time is good for is Sports Talk Radio. MLB looks like a joke, ALL great players still playing are suspects, and the fans have tarnished memorabilia. Think of how a guy who buys one of Bonds/Mark M. homer balls during their * record breaking runs feels. He shelled out big $$ for a worthless piece of crap. :'( If I were Selig, I'd release all the names and reset the records. Try to bring some credibility back to the game. Quote

CJ Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 HGH isn't steroids. They're different and when a Dr. prescribes them, they're not illegal. When MLB bans them, players can't use them. They should keep their mouths shut about any of them prior to the ban. Anybody after, should be ban from the game. It really sucks that it has come down to this. I could try to say that no wonder the Bosox kicked the Cards butt in 2004 WS but I won't make that excuse. Some of the Cards were probably doing them too. Guess the Sox were peeking? LOL There was an article in the St. Louis Post Dispatch where they interviewed Pujols, I'm gonna say he is pure. If he ain't, he will be the worst one of them all. He claims he has never used. I hope that is the truth. Quote
Tim1980 Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 In 1998 when Henderson was 40 years old he stole 66 bases. Yeah he was good but to be able to play a whole year of baseball and steal that many bases when you can't do it 4 or 5 seasons before or after that. Its pretty obvious its him. Quote

This is the saddest era of baseball. it just sickened me and I left the game. Screw both the Union and The Owners, I hope they face empty seats and no sponsors, just like what it took to shake up the NHL Quote
adclem Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I love baseball, it is by far my favorite sport. But lets be serious about this, MLB is going to have to do some serious house cleaning to restore its reputation. Everyday this whole thing looks more and more like a 3 ring circus. Steroids or any performance enhancing drug is ILLEGAL! If you get caught cheating then you have to pay the price. Also if you have to "CHEAT" to make it the "SHOW" then guess what maybe you weren't that good after all and if you make the "SHOW" and you have to "CHEAT" to stay at the top of your game then it is probably time to hang up the cleats. But who knows why some of these players took them while others chose not too. We will probably never know the complete truth. All we can hope for is for this mess to get cleaned up and restore the game back to what it has always been "AMERICAS PAST TIME" Later, Quote
Daniel A. Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I can't stand the fact that for years, the Players' Union fought drug testing to protect civil liberties. The tests would identify players using illegal drugs. Why did the Union go so far to protect a player using drugs deemed illegal by law? If it's illegal, there are consequences. Organizations are not above the law. Quote
