Quitlimpin Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 It's close enough start talking football. Not about who's the best or who's won more rings. Who's your all time fave on each side of the ball? Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted July 9, 2009 Super User Posted July 9, 2009 Most of my favs are retired, or at least should be. I am a big Greg Jennings fan. All you fantasy nuts should remember that name. Quote
preach4bass Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Nate Newton, Tony Romo, Jason Witten, and until the last couple of years I secretly liked Brett Favre. BTW, thanks for starting a football thread. Quote

1inStripes Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Being a Cowboys fan Emmitt and Hershel rank right up there on offense, but John Elway was the person I loved to watcht the most. I wore #7 in HS football because of that. Defensively Lawrence Taylor was always fun to watch. DeMarcus Ware may be mvoing up on that type of list because he is a similar type of player. Jason Witten is now my favorite current player. He is fairly local to my area, and we graduated the same year. Enjoyed watching tape of him in HS, then at UT and now at Dallas. Julius Jones graduated the same year also and he and I played some Little League baseball and basketball against each other. I like seeing him, Thomas and Heath Miller do well since they are from my area. Abrayo Franklin graduated the same year as Julius, Jason and myself if I am not mistaken and players for the Niners so I am glad he's still going strong too. Quote

Aaron Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I was always a Mike Alstott fan even though I don't care for the Bucs. And I loved watching Tim Brown. Current faves would be Peyton Manning and Ladanian Tomlinson. And on defense I liked Howie Long and Bill Romanowski. Current favorites would probably be Ed Reed or Troy Polamalu ?sp?) Whoa, 5 bass, it seems a very important Raider was missing from your list, what about Biletnikoff? Glad to see another Raider fan on here, hopefully they turn around soon. Quote

Captain Obvious Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Did somebody say Moss???? We are talking about players not boys who stop playing when they don't think there team can win he is a great talent I'll admit but when you think about what happen in Oakland. > For my favorites I like Jason Witten and Marion Barber guys who will take shots and just keep going. And I know he hasn't proven anything yet but Tony Romo is still an above average QB he just needs to get his head in the right place and stay away from Jessica. Quote
