Quitlimpin Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Who's with me? Here I am again been up since 6am and leaving for the lake in about 3 hours. Never had a problem with it before the last 6 months or so. Anybody know any good remedies??? I really prefer not to take any drugs, but this is getting ridiculous. Quote
seyone Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I feel your pain. I go through bouts of insomnia from time to time and have not really found any solution. I on occasion will take some nyquil if I feel I really need to go to sleep, but that doesn't always help. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted July 23, 2009 Super User Posted July 23, 2009 exercise, don't nap, wash your sheets, flip your mattress Quote

Super User grimlin Posted July 23, 2009 Super User Posted July 23, 2009 Stay away from sugar, coffee and snack food.At least 4 hours from bed time. Stress will also keep you up.This is my biggest problem. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted July 23, 2009 Super User Posted July 23, 2009 6:00 am, I *** you. My body clock is whacked out shape bad. Regardless of what I do and what time I go to bed I get up between 11:30 and 12:30 every morning. Some days is has no affect me other days I drag bad. Getting the worse the older I get. Tried medications, sleep clinics, nothing has helped, but I'm usually the first one at some of fishing spots haha Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted July 23, 2009 Super User Posted July 23, 2009 I thought the only exercise was liftin??? i will admit that puts me to sleep like a baby the same night, so three nights a week im good to go same routines make it easier to sleep Quote
aceman387 Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 i would avoid any coffee or cigarettes or alcohol close to bed time also avoid eating any big meals before you go to sleep.try getting on a regular work -sleep routine and take up walking for exercise i would avoid watching an fast paced stressful type TV shows to close to bed time also. maybe you could try turning off everything in the house close to bedtime and just read with a lamp on usually reading will make you drowsy.
