BillyBob Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Just picked up a couple chatterfrogs. Anyone got to use these yet? If so...what do you think? Quote
Guest Texas_Bass_Pro Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Never seen them. Can someone post a link or a picture? Quote
BillyBob Posted January 15, 2007 Author Posted January 15, 2007 Here you go, sorry about the quality of the photo. Quote
Guest Texas_Bass_Pro Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Thanks for the picture BillyBob. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted January 15, 2007 Super User Posted January 15, 2007 Looks like a chatterbait with a piece of frog shaped plastic... Using that concept you could have a chatter crawdad, chatter lizard, chatter sweet beaver, chatter Senko, etc. Quote
BillyBob Posted January 15, 2007 Author Posted January 15, 2007 You might have an idea there cart...only thing different is the blade is horizontal not vertical like the swimmer one....I guess that makes it stay on top. Quote
Ky_Lake_Dude Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Isn't it just a chatterbait with a trailer :-/ Quote
Guest Texas_Bass_Pro Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 BillyBob---How much did it cost you?? Quote
BillyBob Posted January 15, 2007 Author Posted January 15, 2007 I know you can't see it in the picture, but everything's the same but the blade. On the frog it runs flat, or horizontal to the head, not vertical like the chatterbait. Haven't used it yet, but it looks like the blade would cause it to hop on top. My sponsor gave them to me to try, said they'de be same cost as chatterbaits. Wants to know if their worth stocking. What do you think? Quote
Shad_Master Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I was thinking about this post last night -- one of the things that occurs to me is the the trailer looks awfully heavy for the ChB and might cause it to lose some of the action. On the other hand, the trailer does look like a good option for jigs -- are these currently on the market? Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted January 16, 2007 Super User Posted January 16, 2007 Isn't it just a chatterbait with a trailer :-/ Saw them at Gander Mountain in my area, didnt purchase for the same reason mentioned here. Thats what it looked like to me... Quote
uiubassmaster Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I was at Cabelas last weekend and about did a flip in front of everyone when I saw that they were selling 26 pc chatterbait kits for $20!!! Kit came with the original chatterbait, a mini chatterbait, the chatterfrog and the new flippin chatterbait. Not to mention 6 skirts, rattles, and about 15 plastic trailers and a free DVD. The chatterfrog looks awesome, and I can't wait to hit the water with these bad boys. Here's the link in case anyone's interested. http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0043275121956a&type=product&cmCat=search&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=chatterbait&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=chatterbait&noImage=0 Quote
