crankbait2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Has anyone ever played the Rapala fishing game on PS3?? if so, how would you rate it? worth purchasing? Quote
uicdent11 Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Really "Arcade'ish". I have it, but do not play it often. If you wanted to try it, you could probably find one used on Amazon for a fair price. If you decide you didn't like it, you could sell it. I would give it 5.5 out of 10. Quote
crankbait2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Author Posted July 12, 2009 i was wondering about the graphics. i saw it got a 6.0 rating from users on gamespot.com. i saw one on ebay for .99 cents but it has like 6 days to go. if i can get it for not much more than that, i may consider. is it a good game though minus the arcadish features? scaledriver Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 I rented it to try it out I didn't care for it so much. You have to twitch the controller up and down side to side (Like a Wii). I didn't play it much just wasn't what I was expecting I guess. Quote
crankbait2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Author Posted July 12, 2009 it sounds like thatgame uses that 6-axis feature. i dont care for that either. we have a wii and im more for the stationary controller (ps3), forget that tilting remote crap Quote
scaledriver Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 haha yea when you set the hook you have to jerk the controller up and toward yourself : Quote
uicdent11 Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Yea, the jerking of the controller kinda sucks, but it is their way of making it feel like you are reeling in a fish. If you just held down X it would be pretty pointless. The graphics aren't bad, but nowhere near that of COD WAW or some of the newer games. If you could get it for $10-15, I say go for it. If you paid shipping, probably under $5, I would send you mine to try and see if you like it. Just let me know. Quote
moby bass Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 I bought one for our Wii. I was disappointed in the graphics and the controls. I thought it was difficult to use, didn't respond well. But then, I'm not a gamer. I also didn't like the fact that you have to earn your way up to more and better tackle. There is a mode where you can just fish but I was still disappointed with the way you controlled the boat, reeled in the line ,etc. After playing Wii bowling, which is very responsive, Rapala fishing rates a Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted July 12, 2009 Super User Posted July 12, 2009 i got rapala pro fishing for the ps2 back in the day and i played it a lot then, but now i don't like it so much, its very unrealistic...and its no fun just using rapalas. Quote
