I M P O R T A N T  PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!  AND SHARE!!!!!

YOU THOUGHT IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN HERE!

WELL, HERE IT COMES!!!!

HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009

Please send this to everybody on your list...

this is Obama gun control by secrecy.

Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House.

This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.

We just learned yesterday about this on the Peter Boyles radio program.

Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because it is flying under the radar.

To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.

Basically this "little" piece of legislation would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:

.It is registered.

.You are fingerprinted.

.You supply a current Driver's License.

.You supply your Social Security #.

.You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing.

.Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25.

- Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.

There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Guns must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.

The Government would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this..

It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along.

FAILURE TO DO SO AT YOUR PERIL!

Any hunters in your family - pass this along.

Peter Boyles is on this and having guests. Listen to him on KHOW 630 a.m. in the morning.

He suggests the best way to fight this is to tell all your friends about it and "spring into action".

Also he suggests we all join a pro-gun group like the Colorado Rifle Association, hunting associations, gun clubs JPFO (JEWS FOR THE PRESERVATION OF FIREARMS OWNERSHIP) and especially the  GOA and National Rifle Association.

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

Well, before y'all get your panties in a wad and freak out over this, do a little research first. I'll help you:

  • Contrary to the e-mail quoted above, the bill would not require applicants to "submit to a physical and mental evaluation at any time of their choosing"; applicants would have to authorize the release of any existing mental health records.
  • Also, the right of inspection to ascertain compliance with the law would apply to "any place in which firearms or firearm products are manufactured, stored, or held, for distribution in commerce," not to ordinary households.
  • The fact that the bill does not have even a single co-sponsor makes it unlikely that it will ever be brought to a vote before Congress, much less passed. The lack of a co-sponsor is an indication of a lack of enthusiasm for it among other congressmen. They feel it is too far-reaching and repressive of gun owners' rights to merit serious consideration by a majority of Congress.
  • Obama has absolutely nothing to do with this bill.  It was introduced by U. S. Rep. Bobby Rush, IL  in 2007 during the Bush years.  It failed and he's trying again now.

So it's another worthless bill proposed by an overzealous politician in an effort to make his constituents feel like he's doing something.

Fo-gheta-bout-it and get back to fishing!

yea you are right. god forbid you have to:

-have a gun registered

- get finger printed

- have a drivers license to access a gun

- supply your ss #

- submit a physical & mental examination if you were to fire your gun and harm someone

and this is the real zinger:

-have the gun locked and inaccessible to any child under 18

the nerve of the president to try and keep guns away from people who shouldn't have one to begin with.

  • Thanks 1

Rednecks:

When we were little we used to say: "Ooooohhhhh, the Boogie-man is going to get you!!!"

Now that we're all grown up we say, "Ooooohhhhh, the Bama-man is going to get you!!!"

As President, I don't think he's signed a single piece of anti-gun legislation, yet we're all scared to death that he's going to come and take away grandpa's old shotgun. I'm just as guilty, I ran right out and bought a couple of guns when he was elected. But, I don't think taking our hunting rifles, shotguns, or even handguns, is on his list of top priorities. If anything, he's been great for the gun industry so far.

Yep, I, for one, ain't scared of the Bama-man no more! ;D

Umm.... Obama has absolutely nothing to do with this bill. None, nada, zero, zip.

It was introduced by U. S. Rep. Bobby Rush, IL. In fact, he first introduced it in 2007 during the Bush years. It failed and he's trying again now.  No doubt it will fail again.

So... can we get back to fishing now?  This topic is dangerously close to crossing the "no politics" boundaries, if it hasn't already.

Thanks for the summary Glenn. I get a million of these types of emails a day and usually when you look them up, they tend to not be as bad.

I would also find it VERY unlikely that if passed this bill would not get past the first court challenge to its constitutionality. The only way they will ever effectively ban guns it to amend the constitution and they have to get US to vote on that. Good luck there.

Gun shop owners are spreading rumors around internet to increase sales. Wall Street is down, so they are trying persuade investors that an M-16 is a better investment.

P.S. Gun sales really is up since Obama took the office. Least what I've heard. I was too lazy to really look into it.

You beat me to it, Glenn!  8-) I sell firearms and have to calm people down who come across these bills every day.

If I have one more person come in and tell me about the ammunition accountability act (which has been in committee for A LONG TIME now and will NEVER come out), I will punch a puppy!  ;D

As for supporters of these gun laws, I'll just put it this way: Gun laws only keep honest people honest. Criminals will get guns one way or another, it's impossible to keep it from happening. I can tell you I hate to see some of the loops that normal law abiding citizens have to jump through just to buy a firearm. I have to deny SERVICEMEN (military personnel of our country who are defending our rights and freedom!!!) all the time who cannot prove 90+ days of residency because they are constantly being restationed.

And yes, I may be the most red-blooded Republican around but if I hear one more person blame any gun bills on Obama I will rip their head off, he's plenty busy with other business right now.

AFAIK, there hasn't been a single piece of gun control legislation that has even made it out of committee yet, much less made it to any floor for a vote.  Gun control is not in vogue again - yet.
