sitting here by myself, looking at a pretty boring night, think i might watch a movie.

i haven't seen either, but i'm undecided, which should i watch, The Deer Hunter or Trainspotting?

I've seen both.  Didn't care for Trainspotting.  Deer Hunter is a tough movie to watch.  Outstanding cast and movie but it's a pretty emotional movie to sit through.

The Russian roulette scenes are particularly hard.

All alone on the weekend with nothing to do?  Come on dude, there has to be some action around somewhere.  I thought there was a Mary Jane rotten crotch in every neighborhood :o

Did you ever watch "Risky Business" staring Tom Cruise?  You should do exactly what he did.

But to answer your question, I'd choose Deer Hunter.

Never heard of Trainspotting. The Deer Hunter always leaves me emotionally drained.     Happy fishing.

i've never seen that movie so unless you're talking about the part where he lip syncs to Bob Segars "Old Time Rock n Roll" in his underware, i don't get the joke.

but i ended up watching trainspotting 2 nights ago. it was extremely difficult to understand with their heavy accents, but was otherwise a pretty good movie. i'd watch it again, but not for a while.

next time i have 3hrs to kill i'll watch the deer hunter :)
