camper710 Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Hey guys, I am pretty new to finishing and was just looking for a small fridge or cooling item for the fish and raw meat that I'm sure to be lugging around (Hopefully haha). Do you guys have any recommendations for items like that? I found one at a site called mobgob (I'd post the link but I don't want to get in trouble) that looks like it's about what I need (If you want to check it out for me, that'd be awesome and much appreciated -- Mobgob's homepage in the featured items list). Let me know what you guys think! Awesome.... Quote
BigBassGuy Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Why can't you just use a cooler with ice????? Quote
Super User Root beer Posted July 1, 2009 Super User Posted July 1, 2009 Cooler+plastic bags+lots of ice=portable temporarily fridge. Probably run you 15 bucks for good size. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted July 1, 2009 Super User Posted July 1, 2009 I dunno. Those portable fridges aren't really big. As you get better at finishing you'll be catching larger and larger fish and you'll need more room to start stacking those 5 - 10lb fillets up along with whatever other "raw meat" you had in mind. Possum? Otter?? Quote
preach4bass Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Irene better visit this thread quick or it'll "finish" badly. : Quote

BigBassGuy Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 whatever other "raw meat" you had in mind. Possum? Otter?? Bald Eagle breasts fit really well into a portable fridge. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted July 1, 2009 Super User Posted July 1, 2009 Bald Eagle breasts are pretty good but I prefer Sea turtle eggs. Just make sure you ice'em down good. Just to be fair, what type of fish do you plan on hauling around? Quote
Super User cart7t Posted July 1, 2009 Super User Posted July 1, 2009 You haven't had hot wings till you have Bald Eagle wings in hot sauce. Hooters doesn't even come close. Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted July 2, 2009 Super User Posted July 2, 2009 body parts dont do well in portable fridges Quote
