srv1990 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I can still picture the poster of her in the red swimsuit that was hanging in my room as a youngster. Sadly she lost her battle with cancer. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Yes most of us have lost our first love. She did fight the good fight and will be missed. Quote
wvbucketmouth Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I even had a pillow with her on it as well as the poster. My first love I think:) Thoughts and prayers go out to her family. May she rest in peace. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted June 25, 2009 Super User Posted June 25, 2009 That poster almost made me go blind 8-) She was one of a kind for sure. Quote
Super User Micro Posted June 25, 2009 Super User Posted June 25, 2009 Yep, had the poster and the pillow. Very sexy lady. I will miss her. Quote
BassnMan Mike Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I think every red blooded guy had her poster. RIP Farrah, you will be missed Quote
Super User CWB Posted June 26, 2009 Super User Posted June 26, 2009 Sad. Alot of people probably don't even know because all that is on the news is Michael Jackson. She was courageous and beautiful till the end. Rest in peace Farrah. The world has lost an Angel. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted June 26, 2009 Super User Posted June 26, 2009 When living in Jersey, my wife and I frequently visited Manhattan, New York (most fascinating city on earth). In 1988, the Farrah Fawcett poster that Bass-Mike posted was displayed all over New York City...I mean everywhere! It's difficult for me to digest the transition from a Charlie's Angel to a real angel in a relatively short period of time. This poor gal endured a long and losing battle with cancer...may she rest in peace. Roger Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 26, 2009 Super User Posted June 26, 2009 Yes most of us have lost our first love. She did fight the good fight and will be missed. My mother called last night to ask if I wanted her to send me my old table: The Poster I put under glass on its own table, so many years ago. First "Celebrity Love" for sure. Just typing this makes my eyes water... R.I.P. Farrah, we miss you very much. Quote
Super User senile1 Posted June 26, 2009 Super User Posted June 26, 2009 What else can be said? For many teenage boys of the 70s, Farrah was the ultimate fantasy. But there was more to her than her beauty as she demonstrated by her three Emmy nominations, and by her willingness to have her battle with cancer displayed for all to see. RIP, Farrah. Quote
Super User Micro Posted June 26, 2009 Super User Posted June 26, 2009 In 1997 she posed for Playboy. At 50 she was stunning. Absolutely stunning. BTW, the glass cutters she sports on her poster - I always thought they were enhanced. They weren't. Quote
avid Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 In 1997 she posed for Playboy. At 50 she was stunning. Absolutely stunning. BTW, the glass cutters she sports on her poster - I always thought they were enhanced. They weren't. The pictorial was called "Farrah at fifety" and was very tasteful. Farrah was nude of course, but she would pour some paint on herself then dance into, or otherwise impress her body painted image on a large cavass. It was truly art. Hers wasn't the firt celeb poster I had, Raquel Welch holds that honor, but I too had the famous red suited Farrah adorning my bedroom wall. It seems strange that she's dead. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted June 27, 2009 Super User Posted June 27, 2009 Quote:It seems strange that she's dead. Kind of makes me grateful , that us oldtimers are still here to enjoy eachother's lives 8-) Quote
GLADES Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 Raquel Welch was my first crush, then Farrah. She was everybody's sweetheart and a good actress. What ever happened to the bionic man, Steve Austin (lee majors)? It seem odd that that show (BM) never runs in syndication. Quote
