pa mountain man Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 My wife and I were watching tv, and a psychic commercial comes on, and she asked me if I thought they were real. After processing this complex question for a quarter of a second, I replied "Have you ever seen a headline stating that a psychic has once again won the powerball?" One of the rare times I've left her speechless. 8-) Quote

farmpond1 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Are psychics real? I sensed you were going to ask this question. Your answer: Absolutely not! Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted June 25, 2009 Super User Posted June 25, 2009 I agree with you guys, but I saw a show on this guy. He seemed to have something going on. Pretty amazing. http://www.edgarcayce.org/edgar-cayce1.html Quote
bass wrangler569 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Do the homes of psychics have doorbells? Quote
SMSRTC Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I think people can convince themselves of whatever they want. I also think that if someone makes enough vague predictions , then others will fit those predictions to events. Quote
atx_newbie Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Do the homes of psychics have doorbells? Ahhh, you beat me to it! There is a psychic office right down the street from my house, and there is a big neon sign saying "Ring Doorbell for Psychic." I chuckle every time I walk past it. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 26, 2009 Super User Posted June 26, 2009 No, but I do believe physics are real. Quote
jack1 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Weird how this topic came up. Just days ago, my wife met this physic monk from Texas who was in town for a funeral. Anyways, the reading was for my mother-in-law, but she made my wife tag along with her that night. Now, I was not there at this meeting. Me and my wife are pretty skeptic about physics to begin with. After my mother-in-law's reading, she insisted that my wife should try it out as well. She refused, but her mom insisted and so they did. She got home later that night and told me everything. Accordingly to the questions asked about me and my wife's lifethe answers given from this monk was dead on. These questions were personal questions that only the two of us knew. Remember, this guy is from Texasnever met him before. My wife was very surprised. Now I wasn't there so I don't know what actually took place, but hearing it from my wife that nighteven I was scratching my head. I've seen shows on how these physics play games with the weak minded and twist every word around to make you believe they're predicting your life. I'm still not a believer in it, but I'll have to admit that that's a pretty cool birthday party trick. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted June 26, 2009 Super User Posted June 26, 2009 I'm a psychic and I predict this. In about 5 more months at least 1/4 of the people on this Forum will be because of cabin fever. Quote

Super User Muddy Posted June 26, 2009 Super User Posted June 26, 2009 Most of the time an older gay guy with a drug problem or some women with far away eyes. They can talk to dead people and get lots of money from people who are hurting and way too believing. I go with the old standby: Prayer, always works for me Quote

Fish Chris Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Ha ! :-) True story.... right here in my town, their is a big neon sign that says "Psychic" ...... and right in front of it (it's a house, but it's right on the border of a business district) he has {I swear this is true !} a high performance bass boat ! :-) LOL KVD better watch out ! :-) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Seriously though, I believe a very small % of psychics 'could have' a certain amount of real psychic abilities......... But I also believe their are just SOOO many scam artists out their, that it makes it almost impossible to find a legit one. Peace, Fish Quote
