bassman31783 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Let me explain. A singular person who always travels with a band does NOT count. ie, John Mayer. You need to have a group of musicians who are, collectively, trying to reach a singular purpose/sound/idea, through music. ie, John Mayer Trio. Got it. In no particular order here are my top 5. Earth, Wind, & Fire Tower of Power TOTO Jamiroquai Massive Attack Right behind them is a plethora of bands like Doobie Brothers John Mayer Trio Steely Dan Bela Fleck & The Flecktones Foreigner Huey Lewis & The News The Isley Brothers Double Trouble (SRV) Kool And The Gang Ohio Players Sting & The Police The Gap Band and sooooo many more..... Let's see what you got. Quote
