LCpointerKILLA Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Who else agrees that there must be something else in Popov that turns any grown man who can hold his liquor into a nonsense-stuttering hobo? After my freshman year in college, Popov and Sailor Jerry will (hopefully) never be purchased again lol. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted June 17, 2009 Super User Posted June 17, 2009 I had some serious run ins with Commandant Popov when I was going to school in Wyoming. Quote
LCpointerKILLA Posted June 17, 2009 Author Posted June 17, 2009 I had some serious run ins with Commandant Popov when I was going to school in Wyoming. Popov and Steel Reserve High Gravity need a Surgeon General's warning that says "For the Homeless Only." Quote
LCpointerKILLA Posted June 17, 2009 Author Posted June 17, 2009 yikes... and i thought seagrams was bad... seagrams tonic and some lime in a huge glass was a summer staple last year Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted June 18, 2009 Super User Posted June 18, 2009 Popov is a step below rot gut. Quote
Big Phish Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Popov is just ipecac and water. They make it just to crap with college students. Quote
Olebiker Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 You're 19 years old, right? What's the legal drinking age in Florida? Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 We used to call it Pukov. We used to take shots of cheap vodka in high school because, well, it was cheap. With all the preservatives in Popov, Dubra, Wolfscmidt, etc., you can get hangovers from just a couple shots Quote
Super User Tin Posted June 18, 2009 Super User Posted June 18, 2009 At the liqour store I work at we can't keep Popov and Karkov on the selves. $10.99 for a 1.75 of Popov and $11.39 for a 1.75 of Karkov. I'm not a vodka guy though, even the Goose tastes like crap to me. Quote
BUCKEYEone Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Just reading the title of this thread gave me heartburn and a headache! Quote

Super User Redlinerobert Posted June 19, 2009 Super User Posted June 19, 2009 Vodka in general...bad news for me. Tequila on the other hand, is another story. And I'm not talking about Cuervo, unless you mean the Family Reserve. Don Fernando Extra Anejo is one of my favorites. Too bad it's no longr produced. Asombroso is also really nice, as well as Herradura Suprema. Quote
GLADES Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Ice cold ABSOLUT shots is my go-to choice now. You really have to over indulge to get a hangover. Quote
