Ease up man,Russ didnt steal your camera although it sounds like a real nice one and I'm sure he'd like to have it. ;D The brown truck was coming down my street today and I said to the wife... "What can brown do for ME?" (knowing that I have BPS stuff coming)......she just laughed at first, then laughed even harder as he just drove on by without stopping! Then she says "He's not doing anything for you today, better luck tomorrow big guy"! > ;D Quote

Low_Budget_Hooker Posted December 21, 2006 Author Posted December 21, 2006 lol, Don't be bummed if it doesn't stop right away, only if your house is on the passengers side of the truck. We will often go down one side and up the next, exiting out the passengers door. BTW-, shorty, if you can't respect the staff, you surely wouldn't think twice about sacrificing your charachter and insulting our members. That's just not how it is here. Nice knowing ya. Good luck with your camera. Quote
bassdocktor Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 LBH I have to say the UPS guy is one of my favorite people to see. Usually the only thing he brings me is BPS so he is always welcome. I'll be seeing him tomorrow with my new ATV goggles according to my tracking number even they aren't from BPS. Keep up the good work. bassdocktor Quote
Bassassasin12 Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Go UPS!! Keep up the good work Russ... Quote

Super User Grey Wolf Posted December 21, 2006 Super User Posted December 21, 2006 Poor Shorty , 77 years old and he still doesn't get it ! Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted December 21, 2006 Author Posted December 21, 2006 Going through my mail, I have a repeat question. "why does it say on the website "pkg not in system" when I try to track my pkg?" This means that the company has processed your order (lets say last night's order) and it has gotten a label and is waiting to be picked up by the UPS guy. If you ordered last night, and you track today, it will say this until we get there, load up the truck and scan theirr manifest (known as an "end of day"). Within 1 minute of scanning the manifest, the tracking # will update to say "origin scan" and a time stamp. Now we have it and it's on it's way. Quote
telecaster Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Hey LBH;I just saw on the news that UPS drivers should only turn right, : Hey, I'm all for the right hand turn, sometimes your gonna havta turn left. :(its true..If you take a right into my neighborhood and keep takin rights your just gonna drive by my house every couple minutes.I'll do what I can as far as getting food and water out to you....Have a Happy Christmass and a fun NewYear Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted December 21, 2006 Super User Posted December 21, 2006 I usualy stay out of matters such as this, but i cant help myself this time. I have to say that was a extreamly rude thing to post, shorty. Just becuase one out of a hundred thousand UPS drivers stole your package doesnt mean you should post that on a thread where somone is talking about their hard work at UPS. Now i dont faver UPS over FedEx, But if i hated UPS and somone was talking about the hard work they put in to make it a better service, I wouldn't make a post about how much i hated them. I would contact UPS via email, and talk to them about it, and go one with life. LBH is a hard working man, so give credit where credit is due. And send your complaints where they belong. just my humble .02 This kid is 13, and he already gets the idea. Good call Bucket....anyway, seems like all the negativity is out of the air. LBH, thanks again for keeping your cool and allowing the rest of us to vent on ignorance for you. We got your back!! Wayne Quote

ThomasL Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 The only thing i will say is i did have a bad experience with ups on valentines day.Our driver that has delivered to me numerous times had been told not to fly 100 mph into our driveway like he does,we Had a cat that stayed near and i was sure he would not slow for her.Well on valentine day we came home from supper and sure enough there lay our cat right in the middle of the driveway, tiremarks from the truck over her,in plain site, both me and the wife crying,a good cat lost one that would follow me to the pond, anywhere,a phone call to ups still in the same upset shape with way too many cuss words said and a final responce, i'll use postal service or fed ex from now on,and trust me i buy quite a bit... :'( :-[ Quote

Differing opinions are great, that is what makes the world go 'round. However, there is an appropriate time, place, and way to present your opinion. I am glad to see that the majority can express their opinions in an appropriate manner. Cool, out. Wayne Quote

Low_Budget_Hooker Posted December 21, 2006 Author Posted December 21, 2006 Thomas, I feel your pain. I am a cat owner and have had either a cat or dog all my life. That just sucks. I personally would peobably be bitter. Not so much at UPS but at that driver. Accidents happen, we are on properties and in neighborhoods every day. I have had a few close calls myself with pets but not because of my lack of attention or ignorance. Seeing as you had even had words w/ him previously about his speed, I would be really angry, after I was done being sad. I would also expect accountability. Some parts of the country, the union isn't as strong. In RI, we don't speed. That's lost $$. In fact, if I was ever spoken to about my speed ON someones property, I wouldn't even pull on the property anymore. Out of respect, and out of the fact that it takes alot longer to walk the package in. Which means my route takes longer to do, i.e. more money. When I have met drivers from other parts, it seems life can be alot different. with a strong union, making adjustments like that one stop I described is easy and gets done. If you don't have a strong union, the driver ends up sucking up that time and rushes to stay on schedule. We are timed by the 1/100 of a minute, not 60 seconds, it's that tight. This pressure, with weak union representation makes for a staff that is always rushing to make their #'s. I'm babbling, sorry. I guess I'm just saying I'm Really sorry about your loss. Quote
