Super User burleytog Posted June 16, 2009 Super User Posted June 16, 2009 The month is half over and the total precipitation is 6.5". We had 8" last month. We've had more rain in the first five and a half months of this year than we did in the first 9 months last year. Well on our way to having 40" of rain in six months. I've been trying to find a good set of blueprints for an ark. Quote
Super User Micro Posted June 16, 2009 Super User Posted June 16, 2009 Next summer you won't get hardly any. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted June 16, 2009 Super User Posted June 16, 2009 The title of this thread would make a good slogan for a salt company. What's that? It's been done already? Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 16, 2009 Super User Posted June 16, 2009 Great for ponds and lakes. Not good for river fishing. Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Look at the bright side Burley your drought problem should be over by now. Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted June 16, 2009 Super User Posted June 16, 2009 Great for ponds and lakes. Not good for river fishing. I love muddy and flooded ponds specailly in summer Quote
1inStripes Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 And as we speak, the area where Burley and myself live is under a Tornado warning and getting pounded with more rain.....YAY. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted June 17, 2009 Super User Posted June 17, 2009 B*tch, b*tch, b*tch. One year it's "global warming, droughts, heatwaves, etc." Now we get a little rain and it starts again. Where's Al Gore? Quote
Super User Dan: Posted June 17, 2009 Super User Posted June 17, 2009 chasing manbearpig. We have been dry for a few days but it looks like we might get hit with some precipitation again tomorrow... Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 17, 2009 Author Super User Posted June 17, 2009 Now we get a little rain and it starts again. A little rain? I could handle 'a little rain'. What I can't handle is daily toad stranglers that drop an inch of rain in an hour. Quote
Super User CWB Posted June 17, 2009 Super User Posted June 17, 2009 Pretty soon we are going to hear Al Gore railing about Global Wetting! Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted June 17, 2009 Super User Posted June 17, 2009 Down here it's not been the rain but the friggin wind. Two tornados last month and 3 warnings this month. Quote
CFFF 1.5 Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 That amount of rain is nothing. We got up 30" in some places in Central Florida in a weeks time about a month ago. Quote
jimmieO Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Wouldn't it be nice to relegate the rain to Monday-Thursday. Rain all it wants to then....Leave the weekend alone. Quote

Haven't seen that at the lumberyards for some time ;D Quote

FishingPirate Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Blah. The power was out around Abingdon from around 8:00 until 12:30. It wasnt exactly a long time but it was probably the longest Id been without powe lol. The river I kayak in was running around 350CFS two days ago so Im hoping it will be around 700-1000 CFS today. Ive never seen it over 400 but my paddling buddies want it to get gnar. Quote

It was a solid class III run and I had been doing IIs before it. I only wiped out once and it wasnt even in rapids. Yeah, Im hijacking your thread burley Quote
