1inStripes Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 the only sellers they have listed on their website are in Minnesota or Wisconsin. :-/ I'm a member on a beer forum. Tomorrow I'll do a search on IPA's in your general vicinity. Though I wont be able to recommend them from personal experience, the grading scale and write-ups on this site are top-notch. Enough so where I'd feel comfortable recommending a few for you. Where exactly do you live? Wow a member of a beer forum? Somebody must really like the sauce. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted June 12, 2009 Super User Posted June 12, 2009 LOL 1is... and G_P, I live in Northern Virginia in Falls Church/Fairfax County area. Quote

Someone's gotta be that guy. ;D Dan, I typed your area into the search engine on this beer site, and I came up with almost 2000 matches from all over the world. Either their search engine is really good or just god awful. I haven't found anything I'd recommend yet in either VA or MA. This one is going to take a bit longer, and I'll look again later today. 8-) Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 13, 2009 Super User Posted June 13, 2009 A&W Diet root beer is super. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted June 13, 2009 Super User Posted June 13, 2009 A&W Diet root beer is super. lol, I agree 100% actually. It tastes pretty close to the non-diet version. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted June 14, 2009 Super User Posted June 14, 2009 I went through about 1,200 of the over 1,800 IPA's I could find. All of these are from MA, as I couldn't find one in VA that rated high enough for me to mention. All of these brews received an A- or better: *Here are the malty IPA's -Stonewall IPA- Offshore Ale Co. -Mongrol IPA- Watch City Brewing Co. -Spring Training IPA and Red God IPA- Cambridge Brewing Co. *Here are the floral IPA's (this style is my fav) -Late Harvest IPA- Cambridge Brewing Co. -Mayflower IPA- Mayflower Brewing Co. *Here's a middle of the ground IPA -Hops Explosion IPA- Watch City Brewing Co. I can probably find some of those. There are some stores nearby that have some pretty eclectic selections. Quote
mrlitetackle Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 by "summer" beer i am going to assume that you mean "one that i can drink in the hot, sweltering sun..... on the beach" so i am going to have to say ice cold corona (you keep the lime). not my fav. beer, but its the best in refreshment factor for hot summer days. Olebiker Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 We ate at Chili's Saturday night and I was amazed at what a slim beer selection they had: Bud, Bud Light, Miller, Miller Light, Yuengling, and Shock Top. I took a chance on Shock Top. It tasted nothing like beer. All I could taste was citrus. It wasn't an unpleasant drink, it just didn't taste like beer, not that any wheat beer does. Quote
Big Phish Posted June 16, 2009 Author Posted June 16, 2009 Agreed, OLE biker, shock top is absolutely terrible. Quote
