SDoolittle Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Favorite summer beer? I didn't know people switched beers base on the time of year. Anyway, I'm a Budweiser man. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, if I'm drinking a beer you can bet it was made in St. Louis! Quote
Super User CWB Posted June 10, 2009 Super User Posted June 10, 2009 Ice Cold Sam Adams. Or If I just want to take it slow, Guinness. P.S. Any beer you have to shove a lime into does not count as a beer. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted June 10, 2009 Super User Posted June 10, 2009 I like Samuel Adams Hefe. Lancaster Brewing company makes a Strawberry Wheat that I really like too (some of the guys on the Road Trip sampled it). Also, I gotta say, any beer that is free tastes the best. Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 My favorite summer beer is Corona. Nothin' better than a frosty Corona with a fresh lime on a hot summer day. Mmmm. Don't like them as much in the winter though. I also have fond memories associated with Coronas. First time I ever got drunk was with them Quote
Branuss04 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Anything freezing cold and served in a chilled mug. mmmmmmm! Quote

Anyways Budweiser is ranked in the top. Sam Adams, Schlafley, and more. I also like going around to micro brews and trying out their tasty adult beverages. 8-) Quote
Olebiker Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 I drink Amber Bock or Shiner Bock all year round. Can't see any reason to change during the summer. I really don't see any reason to drink wheat beer when real beer is no more expensive and actually tastes good. Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted June 10, 2009 Super User Posted June 10, 2009 I'm a Guiness kinda guy but I also like Bud, Bud Select, Miller Chill, and Horse. Quote
dave Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Blue Moon Fosters Premium Ale (green can) How a lot of these good beers can even seen in the same list with Budweiser is very corn fusing. : Quote
BUCKEYEone Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Bell's Oberon is a good one, but i'll take a yuengling any day of the year! Quote
Big Phish Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Anyone whose questioning the changing of beers for seasons has no idea what good beer is (no offense) but go out and pick up some craft brews and you'll see what I'm talking about. Sure any beer can be enjoyed anytime of the year but do you really wanna put back heavy India Pale Ales in the middle of August when you could be drinking a crisp and refreshing Wheat. But when the cold months come those same I.P.A.s will warm you right up. It's like going to a BBQ on the fourth and drinking scotch neat when you could be drinking rum on ice. Quote
CSB Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Honey Brown. Not sure if thats a summer beer or not, but it tastes pretty good. Quote

Although I have had some wheat beers that are pretty refreshing. Quote
