joeyd50 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I'm getting what looks like MMC/SD memory card blinking in the lower right hand corner, I have the SD card that came with the unit and I have a Navionics Hot Map card. I tried to use the Hot Map card from the map page on the GPS like it tells you but Navionics is not one of the choices. I just acquired this from a friend who said he never really knew how to use it, think you guys can help me out? Thanks Joe Quote

Thanks Joe It's been awhile since I've messed with the map setting's for mine, but I believe that "Navionics" will NOT be one of the choices in the map list. I beleive there will be a few choices of different states. But I beleive the choices won't say California, or Nevada, it will be some jibberish words like CA93442kdsks or something similar. What are your options from your map list? Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted May 31, 2009 Super User Posted May 31, 2009 Branuss04 is correct, you have to select which file on the Navionics software to view when you go to the map data menu. Quote
joeyd50 Posted May 31, 2009 Author Posted May 31, 2009 I have the manual and I'm doing what it says to do, I don't think its reading the HotMaps card. The hatMaps card is supposed to have the Delaware River, Union lake, its not showing any depths on either one. I E-Mailed Lowrance Friday, hope to hear from them tomorrow. I do show a bunch of numbers in the map section and I click on a few of them but nothing seems to change on the screen. Thanks guys I got to do some more playing with this thing. Thanks Again Joe Quote
Super User burleytog Posted May 31, 2009 Super User Posted May 31, 2009 Press the Menu button, then scroll down to select the Map Data option. Press the enter button. Scroll down to the Navionics Map Choice option and press the enter button. If you have correctly installed the Hot Maps card, you should have a long list of confusing file names. You must select your state from that list and press the enter button. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted May 31, 2009 Super User Posted May 31, 2009 I have the 2005 edition of Hotmaps Premium East and New Jersey is in Region 1 of the 5 selections. The Delaware River shows contour lines. Quote
joeyd50 Posted June 1, 2009 Author Posted June 1, 2009 Thanks guys, I got it, I kept looking for Navionics Maps, and it was there right in front of me, all those goofy numbers have the states abbreviated in the front, I hit the Pa. NJ. and its all there. I should have mentioned I'm half Polish. : Thanks Again Joe Quote
