baboosicbass08 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Someone sent me this today...Seriously messed up http://www.bakersfield.com/news/local/x339729128/Bakersfield-dad-accused-of-biting-out-sons-eye Quote
1inStripes Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I read that Sunday night somewhere on the net. Actually made me a little nauseus. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted May 20, 2009 Super User Posted May 20, 2009 I saw that on Drudge earlier today. I don't understand why stories like these don't scare people away from PCP. It can make people do some really, really, really messed up stuff--this story is a perfect example and unfortunately its only one of many. Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted May 20, 2009 Super User Posted May 20, 2009 "His criminal history dates back to 1998 and includes convictions for drugs, battery, check forgery and a misdemeanor child endangerment. " Perfect, close the gate after the horses are out. Quote
moby bass Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I think that is one of the most horrific things I've ever heard done to a child. The only punishment I can think of that is worthy is having the father's eyes gouged out. Truly one sick sob. Quote
Super User CWB Posted May 20, 2009 Super User Posted May 20, 2009 "His criminal history dates back to 1998 and includes convictions for drugs, battery, check forgery and a misdemeanor child endangerment. " Perfect, close the gate after the horses are out. Guess he was rehabilitated. After the child endangerment, why was he let back together wit the child? This world is getting sicker by the minute. Uncle Leo Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 That is just sick, what will it take to keep our children safe? If someone reacted in a negative way to what this man did, they would be severely punished yet they let him free. What a shame. :'( Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted May 20, 2009 Super User Posted May 20, 2009 If there is a hell, this guy has got VIP reservations for sure Quote
Super User Dan: Posted May 20, 2009 Super User Posted May 20, 2009 If someone reacted in a negative way to what this man did, they would be severely punished yet they let him free. What do you mean? Quote
Super User CWB Posted May 20, 2009 Super User Posted May 20, 2009 If someone reacted in a negative way to what this man did, they would be severely punished yet they let him free. What do you mean? Probably that if someone took this S.O.B. out they would be put in jail. Yet after all he did in the past he was freed to be able to commit this despicable act. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted May 20, 2009 Super User Posted May 20, 2009 When I read these types of stories, it makes my blood boil. All I want to know is: "Was the perp shot for resisting arrest or for trying to escape?" No further explanation required. > Quote

Exactly, what actually does fit the crime? True this man was not in the right state of mind due to PCP but maybe he also knew that this act would be somewhat tolerated based on his past punishment, so a child suffers. The system does not work. Quote
acmaul13 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Not that it is any consolation but I think that the best thing that could happen to the father now is prison"justice" Quote

Super User fourbizz Posted May 20, 2009 Super User Posted May 20, 2009 that kid should have been keeping a better eye out if his dad was on PCP Quote

All I want to know is: "Was the perp shot for resisting arrest or for trying to escape?" No further explanation required. > I've asked a couple cops 'when you walk into a place where a woman or child has been victimized, how do you not just pull out your pistol and serve justice on the perp?'. Both said it was extremely difficult but in some cases, they resist enough to rough them up quite a bit. Quote

Super User CWB Posted May 21, 2009 Super User Posted May 21, 2009 that kid should have been keeping a better eye out if his dad was on PCP Even kidding around that's not very funny. What if the kid was a relative of yours or someone you knew. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Good night Irene, I pray that the good lord looks after this child. Quote

What if the kid was a relative of yours or someone you knew. Agreed. Some unfunny situations can be made funny by a joke. This, however, is not one of those situations. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted May 22, 2009 Super User Posted May 22, 2009 I still think it is funny. Quote
Fish Chris Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Sick as this is, I just can't say I'm surprised. I watched an old DVR recording last night about 9/11 titled, "102 Minutes That Changed the World"...... and even now, several years later, it still just boggles my mind, the things that some humans will do to others. Their are a lot of wonderful "individuals" on this planet (thank God).... but as a species, we absolutely suck :-( Fish Quote
