Super User burleytog Posted May 10, 2009 Super User Posted May 10, 2009 These things cause more harm than good. Took 14 flushes... :-[ How is 22 gallons better than 5 gallons? > Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted May 10, 2009 Super User Posted May 10, 2009 Yo, goofball, your not supposed to use it as a dishwasher. ;D ;D Quote
1inStripes Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Some low flows are okay, but yes, quite a few suck. Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Yep the government had their hand in determining the spec's on these. It was a disaster for quite some time. So much so that their was literally a "black market " for standard toilets when these came out. The plumbers are going to make a killing in the next 20 years. As we speak the government is working on or has finished revising the spec's for washing machines. I'm thinking of "warehousing" some washing machines. FFI - AKA Matt Crum Quote
Pitchinkid Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 lol man sounds like one hell of a turd you had there. Did you name it? Quote

fathom Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 the low-flow is like the new pig-tail light bulb. only in america could the government ban a perfectly good lightbulb in the name of "saving the earth" and replace it with a "green" substitute loaded with mercury. besides, if it comes out that end, i want niagara falls to take it away. Olebiker Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I installed a pressurized toilet a few years ago. It only takes one flush now and you better not be sitting on it when you flush. The suction will take you down with it. Quote
Super User Micro Posted May 11, 2009 Super User Posted May 11, 2009 I want a toilet that flushes so hard it cleanses my colon. And I want an exhaust fan that sucks the newspaper out of my hands. Quote

Yeah if you drop it and brake it you can't clean it up legally unless you block off the area and leave and call a hazmat crew to come in and clean it. Then if you are gonna move and want to sell it you have to list it as having had a hazard spill and have all the documentation that it has been cleaned properly. And as an added bonus the light they put out is shite and takes 10 minutes to come on. > Quote

dave Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I have a low flow but, the key is the throat size. Mine will flush 24 golf balls in one flush. Quote

Super User cart7t Posted May 12, 2009 Super User Posted May 12, 2009 It's sad that it's come to the government intruding into how much "outflow" I can discharge from myself into my toilet in order to match it's flushing capacity. This forces America to break his or hers typical discharge into smaller bits which ultimately means more time spent on the pot. Seems very counterproductive. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted May 12, 2009 Super User Posted May 12, 2009 Try these http://www.consumersearch.com/toilets I remolded my house recently and all my toilets are now Low Flow, but I can flush a load or two no problem, just leaves some streaks though. Quote
