Super User Sam Posted May 8, 2009 Super User Posted May 8, 2009 Today, a box arrived via UPS, and in it was an autographed LSU football sent by the LSU Chancellor for our crawfish boil auction to support our Luke Bashore Memorial Scholarship Fund. When I opened the box, I noticed the Les Miles autograph, but then I saw some writing off to the side and it is a Billy Cannon autograph. Billy is LSU's only Heisman Trophy winner. What a surprise. There is no way we expected this donation. This is just another example of how great the people are at LSU. We are also getting an autographed basketball by the women's basketball coach for the auction. Crawfish. Not Only for Bass!!!! Quote
daviscw Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Sam, What is an LSU, and who is Les Miles? Juuuust kidding! That's pretty neat to have autographs of some of your favorite people. Congrats on your hard work! Quote
BayouBassAssassin Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 You wouldn't believe what I would do to get a football autographed not only by Les Miles but Billy Cannon! Wow...Congrats Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted May 12, 2009 Super User Posted May 12, 2009 That's very nice. When I read the title of this thread, I thought maybe an athlete had graduated from LSU. That would really be big news in the SEC! Quote

That would really be big news in the SEC! I thought they had landed another blue chipper unexpectedly. After RW's input, that would make more sense. ;D Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted May 12, 2009 Super User Posted May 12, 2009 As bad as I hate to say it, they are a first class operation. I had to spend two days on Toledo with Catt and Pat Miller both wearing the Purple shirts with the LSU logo on them. Being a Bama alum it was very hard to take, but they took it a little easy on me. Congratulations to a fine S.E.C. organization for going the extra mile. At least I did not have to listen to anyone finish each sentence with "War Eagle". Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted May 13, 2009 Super User Posted May 13, 2009 Concur with that 100% Jack. Football never entered the picture the whole day, and we know that Catt and myself love college football. Quote
1inStripes Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 LSU is a place I have always wanted to see a game. Sadly I haven't even had time to go to Knox Vegas to watch the Vols in a few of years. Quote
