atx_newbie Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Anybody watching them? I mean, we all know it's going to be Cavs/Lakers in the Finals, but until then there have been some great games so far in the first round. What's everyone else's take? Quote
CFFF 1.5 Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Everyone thinks it is going to be Cavs/Lakers in the Finals but if it was such a done deal then there wouldn't be any reason to have playoffs. Any team can win on any given night. Just look at the Superbowl this year. Who honestly thought the Cardinals were going to be in the Superbowl. I think San Antonio and the Mavs have a shot as well as the Magic and Celtics in the East. The Nuggets have a solid team also. Quote
1inStripes Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 The Mavs do not have a player who will take a game over in crunchtime. San Antonio has little shot without Manu. I picked a LA/Orlando final. If Howard isn't hurt too bad I still think that can happen, but if he is limited with the eye injury, the only team that might trip up the Cavs in the East is Atlanta IMO. The only two in the West who could give LA fits is Denver and Houston. Quote
atx_newbie Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 Well I think the Celtics aren't getting past Chicago, and Orlando just coughed up home-court advantage to Philly. I do think the West is more up for grabs, but the Lakers have been so dominant this season I just can't see anyone beating them in 7 games. Maybe in 1 or even 2, but not 7. Quote
SenkoShawn Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 if kobe plays like he did last game they have this. maveriks really been disappointing me they look like there to tired and dont even wanna play out there. as far as cavs go IM NOT A FAN. but id like to see lakers crush them again. Quote
SenkoShawn Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 and celtics and bulls last night was ONE HELL OF A GAME. Quote

1inStripes Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Celtics are finished. Powe is now out with and ACL tear. Quote
SenkoShawn Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 and celtics and bulls last night was ONE HELL OF A GAME. I forgot the game was on last night. > it was tied all game with a buzzer beater win. realll good game. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted April 21, 2009 Super User Posted April 21, 2009 I was thinking repeat for Celtics if they stayed healthy this year. King James and Kobe would be great series to watch. It should come down to the Spurs and Lakers from the west, with the Lakers coming out on top. Now hurry up and finished B ball, so football is that much closer. Quote
tritz18 Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 celtics will lose to cavs in the eastern conference finals. allen and pierce can only take them so far. Quote
Captain Obvious Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 For the conference finals I say it's going to be Bulls/Cavs, Cavs will win and Mavs/LA, LA will win I think that King James will get a crown this year, Cavs to take all Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 22, 2009 Super User Posted April 22, 2009 Go Saints. OK, its basketball, but at least the Saints would have a better chance of increasing their win totals if they played basketball. ;D Quote
1inStripes Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Hated seeing the Cookie Monster probably end his career due to an injury last night. Quote
Super User Tin Posted April 22, 2009 Super User Posted April 22, 2009 Good thing the Raptors are not in the NBA playoffs. A mention of Canada and the thread gets closed down.... : Quote
fivesixone Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 D Wade's gonna win the championship himself. Watch. ;D Quote
Super User Tin Posted April 24, 2009 Super User Posted April 24, 2009 WOW, C's are up by 22 at half in Chicago without KG and Powe. Quote
Captain Obvious Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Did you see my Mavs last night, it was awesome I'm beginning to like this JJ guy Capt.O Quote
tritz18 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 The celtics are hot now, they will get to the eastern conference finals and lose to cavs. Go C's Quote
Dean Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Typical bandwagon Celtic fans. They cheer on the green yet they say they will loose to the Cavs. First off, if you are a Celtics fan, you root for your team 110% . Second, stop wining about Leon Powe's torn ACL, and KG's injury. The celtics are deep, bench players have stepped up, and the starters have all increased their scoring averages tremendously. Lastly, they are DEFENDING Champions, they've been there and done that. 8-) Quote
