Super User Catt Posted April 21, 2009 Super User Posted April 21, 2009 I do not like Christian entertainers regardless of age I guess you took a wrong turn and ended up where you really didn't want to be then. Anyway regards to Heavy Metal/ screamo music. They can play it all they want just keep it down, that's all I ask. Nope just a lot of people in it for the money Quote

I just kind of look at it as if a baker just bakes for the money. I'll still eat his donuts if his product is good. That's just me, What you choose is your business, it's great that we live in a country that still lets us choose...,for now. Truth be known the donuts don't need to be THAT good for me to eat them, ask my dietician Quote
Super User Catt Posted April 22, 2009 Super User Posted April 22, 2009 If it doesn't honor God & give God the glory then it's just entertainment Quote
CJ Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I don't listen to gospel music much but, my dad loves it. I gotta pretty funny story to tell that relates. My dad and I were in a tackle store near Ky. Lake last year. All of a sudden you would think my dad just saw Elvis! There was a tall guy standing there, looking lost as to what to buy to do some bassfishing. My dad tells me,"that's Guy Penrod!" I was thinking, who? Dad says he has one of the greatest voices in gospel music! Mr. Penrod ask the Tackle store owner if he has any suggestions as to what to buy and the owner says,"ask that guy right there". I fixed him up with some senkos and some topwater toads. Dad got to talk to him about gospel music for a bit. When we got back in the truck dad was calling everybody! "Guess who Chris just helped at the tackle store?! GUY PENROD!" You would have thought it was the president. :-? I'm sure Dad would love to read this thread. I'll tell him about it. Quote
1inStripes Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I am not into Contemporary Christian music, but the wife likes it. I lean to the old hymns myself. Quote

I can't see a persons heart, I leave that to The Lord. I think we are leaning toward philosophy and that may make Glen nervous, maybe we should stick with the intent of the thread. To discuss gospel MUSIC. No disrespect intended. Quote

That's pretty cool. Guy is a member of the Gaither Vocal Band, which is one of my favorites! Quote
