Super User Dan: Posted April 20, 2009 Super User Posted April 20, 2009 She (Susan) has some pretty good pipes. It's difficult to argue that. But I can see where Dominion Dan is coming from too. There's plenty of hype going on here. A portion of it comes from the surprise of hearing something so pleasant coming out of a "frumpy" woman's mouth and everybody loves an underdog. If you don't mind my putting words in your mouth, I think that's what DD is railing against -the hype. It was difficult to even hear Susan with all the screaming from the audience. I wish I could find other songs she's done to form a better opinion. Yes, it is the hype I am talking about. The video is being characterized as a frumpy lady who has a surprisingly amazing voice. I think it is surprising and good, but the video gives me no reason to call her amazing based on that one performance Quote
