fish-fighting-illini Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 So much for the big bad Big East that everyone was talking about! Not a bad year to be from the Midwest Illinois had a good year until it mattered. At least it was a lot better than last year. Mi State has quieted the big mouths of the Big East, Penn State won the NIT and Bradley ( about 10mi's from my house) got second in the also ran tny it was in. Now it's time to shut the Tar Heel dynasty traps! Go Michigan State! Quote
fivesixone Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Tipoff! I'm thinkin' UNC's gonna whoop 'em, but let's see! 83-65 UNC 8-) Quote
Still a Bigbuckifan Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I took Mich St to cover the spread they were +8 Quote
ejtaylor822 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Go Spartans, but I'm afraid NC will win by 14 with a new NCAA record of 15 flops by Tyler H. 8-) Yes, and Tyler's 15 flops will put him in fifth place for NCAA flops and move JJ Redick to sixth. If he reaches 28 flops he will tie Bobby Hurley for fourth place behind Chris Laetner, Shane Battier and the leader Greg Paulus. ;D Quote

Ouch I had that coming! LOL I hadn't read that Dec 3rd score before I posted. Oh well fun while it lasted which was what 30 second mark? Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted April 7, 2009 Super User Posted April 7, 2009 Is it just me or has the officiating blown sack the last four or five minutes of gameplay? Quote
ejtaylor822 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Congratulations to my beloved 'heels! They won with class and dignity. Great win for a bunch of great guys. Another championship for one of the best coaches in the game today! Quote
fivesixone Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Hrmm let's see... UCONN, Pitt, Louisville, and Nova could've put up a much better game than that... :-/ Congrats to the Heels though! Quote
Super User Muddy Posted April 7, 2009 Super User Posted April 7, 2009 Is it just me or has the officiating blown sack the last four or five minutes of gameplay? Yea they were trying to keep MS in the gamen the game. Dynasys dominate the game over a period of time. While this team ia a true dominating champioion, this year that doesn'tmake them a dynasty UNC's defense and pregame coaching made a shambles of MS from the start, brialliant coverage of the MS passing lanes and set plays FTR : I PICKED LOUISVILLE Quote

detroit1 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 O well , nice run. It looked like men vs. boys last night. Hats off to the tarheels. What the heck is a tarheel anyways? Please don't answer as i don't care . 561:spartans beat 2 of those teams you listed, so what is your grief? Who, honestly, thought the spartans would win, and you are dreaming if you think ANY other team would've beat nc. 4bizz i give you credit for not liking any team in cali. One other thought- Spartans will go alot farther than nc next year. later. Quote

Too bad they all lost already and MSU beat two of them. Also, no college team could've kept up with UNC in the first half. They were shooting the lights out. Given the players that they had, UNC should've went wire to wire as No 1 and been undefeated. Quote
