I got into Southern Polytechnic State University here in Atlanta!  I've been going to a small community college for the past two years, and now I'm finally going to be able to get the degree that I want-Mechanical Engineering!  I'm just going to have to work my butt off to keep the hope scholarship.

Nick,

Fantastic. Great. Super. Outstanding.

I am so proud of you.

Get that degree.

Get a good career.

Make a lot of money.

Buy a BIG bass boat.

And most of all, be sure to pay your F.I.C.A. taxes.   ;)

Remember, it is easier getting in than out.

Study.  Learn.  Be nice to your profs.  Do homework.

Take notes on a yellow tablet and then transfer them to your notebook which does not leave your room.  This does two things.

First, you relearn everything by transferring your notes to your notebook and second, if you lose your yellow paper tablet you only lose one day's notes and not the entire semester.

You get an "At A Boy" today.

Get 100 "At A Boy's" and you can sleep in for an extra hour.

Get one "Oh S*#t" and all the "At A Boys" go away!  ;D   ;D   ;D

WTG dude!  I will be going to Kennesaw State University which is only a few minutes away.  The friend who I am rooming with went to Southern Poly this year but is transferring to KSU.

There are some great electric only lakes around there that I will be fishing, and I always have an empty seat.  Hope to see you on the water soon and congrats again on getting in.

Remember, beer before liquor = couldn't get sicker. Liquor before beer = you're in the clear. Or you can be like any other college kid and ignore all rules. Congrats!

Thanks for all of the advice! I think the best piece of advice in the whole post was to buy a BIG bass boat!!   ;D
