In trying to describe BR to the girl and how I needed to buy Girlscout cookies for people on BR yesterday (I'm no longer allowing myself to eat anymore of them and she is in charge of seeing that I don't) I said how we all bs and share tips and such....Her reply was.." You're always on it so it is addicting, you all talk and bs, and you post pictures. It is Fishing Facebook." I facepalmed and just said "Sure I guess, put this X-Rap back. I wanted the Green Olive, not the one with blue in it."

Yeah this kinda is like a Fishing Face book only unlike on face book you don't know much about the other persons on here, If BR had something on here that allowed the guys on your buddy list to see what kind of music, food, etc......  that you liked then it would be a fishing FaceBook

My wife and 19 year old daughter call it fishfacebook.

My wife just started a facebook page.  She's been on it non-stop the past few nights.  It's like a double-standard around my home.  When I spend more than 30 minutes on here, she asks me why I'm not spending time with her.  However, it seems OK with her to sit on the computer all night.    ::)  After 17 years of marriage, I've given up figuring her out.   :-/

Nonsense, I'm on Fb and also on Team Depends :)

I've gotten in touch with classmates from elementary school (including my 4th grade teacher) through college, through my skiing career. Russia, Canada,France, Bermuda, Spain,....I've found people I never thought I see or hear from again, it's awesome.

-However-

It's turning into an A-bomb for marriages. People are hooking up,....people who's marriages have been stagnant,.....along comes the ex from HS,...same drama at home,....lets do lunch,....yadda yadda, and the badness begins.

My buddy is having some marriage issues. They are seeing a counselor. He told me that when FB came up (it really isn't an issue in his marriage, but it was mentioned), the therapist said that literally, 9 out of 10 people who sit in front of her lately end up saying the word,...FaceBook. She said it is like an epidemic of divorce triggers.

Crazy,...users beware.

I have heard a lot of the same. I have had high school ex girlfriends contact me through FB. I still adhere to the same rules in RL, I would never meet them alone anywhere. Also, I am listed as married and I tell me wife about any contact I have had with them online (which is deliberately very little).

Through our social grapevine though, there have been a LOT of marriage issues created by it.

Besides the usual "get off the computer and spend time with your family." speech , I cannot say BR has created any family issues.

I have to disagree, BR has caused quite a few family issues,......GOOD ones!!! :)

If simply speaking to exes through Facebook puts a marriage in jeapordy, maybe Facebook isn't their biggest problem.

I keep in touch with so many friends through Facebook that I might never have kept in touch with otherwise. I think it's a great thing, taken in moderation.

My wife refers to bass resource as " oh your gay blog" But she says it with one of those voices. You know the one.

Yea, I know that voice.
