Super User burleytog Posted March 18, 2009 Super User Posted March 18, 2009 I'm almost to the point of tearing them out of the walls. The automatic faucets suck, no matter the design. Those at WalMart almost force one to put their hands in the sink. The auto-flush toilets are absolute junk. Had one flush twice yesterday, then wouldn't flush when needed. I don't know about you guys, but I don't like a wet butt. Progress indeed... > Quote

Pitchinkid Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Yeh sometimes the automation isnt enough, and you need that follow up flush or at least the next person going in does. Then there is one in a gas station in Ripley WV that must use 5000 gallons of water when it flushes. Im scared to death of that thing flushing while im on it. Quote
atx_newbie Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Automated sinks and toilets don't really bother me. I used to go into public restrooms and no one would ever flush, so every toilet I went to was disgusting. Now, though, at least all the toilets stay flushed. However, there is one bit of bathroom automation that I don't like. At O'Hare Airport, the toilets have an automated thing that forces you to use one of those little plastic seat covers. Those seat covers are so unnecessary. The bacteria on a toilet seat is nothing compared to the bacteria on your own face. Quote

I like the automatic deals. Sometimes they are a pain but I do not like touching anything more then I have too. Quote

Super User bilgerat Posted March 19, 2009 Super User Posted March 19, 2009 I guess I'm a Neanderthal then. Sometimes on a job facilities are not available or if they are they can be brutal. Thank goodness for a work truck with a large windowless utility body. Always carry paper, and always have a five gallon bucket. It's probably a million times more sanitary than ANY public john. Quote
frogtog Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 If you would stop getting up and down it wouldn't flush as much. Quote
jax Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Walmart Bathrooms?!?!?!??!?!?! You are a brave soul. Those bathrooms are disgusting. At least the ones here in southern indiana are. Filthy things with wet toilet paper all over the place. Pee is on everything. Automated isn't enough for walmart bathrooms. They need automatic bathroom flushing. I think every Walmart I have ever been in has been that way. I have been in nasty port-a-pots but nasty compares to a Walmart bathroom. Quote
