502largemouth Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Ok, guys, I am a huge dog lover, just curious to see other folks and their furry fishin buds. Post em if ya got em. This is my best friend for life, Snoop. He is a 2 1/2 year old bluetick coonhound.......he has some cur mixed in, I guess to make him a squirrel dog but I didnt need a hunting dog, I just wanted one for my kids to love on and to go fishin with. Rescued him from a farm in Indiana. Cyas, D Quote
slomoe Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 You've got a handsome boy. She's a handful so I haven't taken her fishing yet but she's a good girl. Quote
502largemouth Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 Man, she's gorgeous.....I tell you what, I dont know why I like it so much but I just love it when they hit that second pics pose. When they see something and lock on it at attention, don know what it is but I loooooove that. On a side note, what kinda rig is that you got her in, looks like she is gonna go bunjee jumpin....lol. Jim Grouch Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 This is Cody... 50% Pitbull, 50% Rottweiler, 100% Baby. He loves everything to do with the water. While fishing he lays on the boat until I catch a fish and then he gets up and gets all excited to watch as I bring it in...then its back to sleep for him. Quote
slomoe Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 On a side note, what kinda rig is that you got her in, looks like she is gonna go bunjee jumpin....lol. It's a walking/hiking harness. She pulls me up the hills when Im too tired. ;D J.Grouch, Cody looks like a great dog. Quote

Jim Grouch Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Unfortunately this is what happens when I leave town and the girlfriend is watching him...She turns him gay. Notice how happy he is on the jetski with me and not so happy being with her. You can really see it in his face. Quote

atx_newbie Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Slomoe, what breed is yours? She looks a lot like mine: He was a pound puppy, so I don't really know his breed, though I'm thinking he's a boxer/lab mix, maybe a little pit as well. The picture with his whole body was when I first got him, he was scrawny. He's put on about 20 pounds since then. Quote
slomoe Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Slomoe, what breed is yours? She looks a lot like mine She's an American Pitbull Terrier. Yours has a brindle coat which is common in bully breeds. With the longer nose I would bet yours is more of a pit mix than a boxer mix, but you never really know. Hes good looking dog though. Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 This is Buddy, one of my golden retrievers. He used to be a huge pain when I took him fishing (used to jump in after every cast to try to get my lure), but now he knows the drill. The only problem is that he's a little noisy Quote

Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted March 9, 2009 Super User Posted March 9, 2009 He doesn't get to go fishing with me as much as he would like, but he gets to go a few times a year. There is only so much room for a 110 lbs dog in a 10 foot boat. If I had a bigger boat I would take him more often. Deuce Quote
hjerk24 Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Here's my Sandy. She is 10 years old, and has been my best friend since 1999. She is a great Yellow Lab, and is great with my daughter and other kids. Love Her Dearly. Quote

Now we have a Beagle/Shepherd mix that was a last chance rescue dog. -gk Quote

Red Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 this is Zoey, i got her from the humane society a week or so before she was to be "executed" the vet there said she is Blue Heeler/collie or border collie mix. the blue heeler is obvious cuz of her color, i think collie due to her size. either way she rocks, super smart and SUPER energetic. next is charlie, he is 100% shar-pei(sp) and 100% LAZY. it is so funny to watch zoey grab a mouth full of that flappin skin and drag him around the house!
