Eddie Munster Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 http://www.disappearing-car-door.com/ Seems like a pretty good feature until you get into an accident. Not sure how they'd get you out. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted March 12, 2009 Super User Posted March 12, 2009 Very cool...........did ya know why the 57' benz gull wing was discontinued. Women were tearing the nylons getting out, so they went back to a traditional door. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 12, 2009 Super User Posted March 12, 2009 Stupid, you have to roll the window down first to get out. You'd think they'd demo this on something a little more exciting than a Lincoln. Then again, maybe this product is aimed at the senior citizen market. Quote
FordNFishinLover Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Very cool, i think ill get some for my truck Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted March 12, 2009 Super User Posted March 12, 2009 Removing the B pillar....? Hope nobody gets wheels up, without the B pillar there is no center structure, and the doors were elongated. Interesting to see if it would pass the safety test. otherwise, very cool looking would definitely turn heads Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted March 12, 2009 Super User Posted March 12, 2009 Removing the B pillar was my concern. I wonder if they would install a rollbar? Falcon Quote

=Matt 5.0= Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 That's a revolutionary idea if I ever saw one. Did anyone actually read the FAQ's? P.S. Convertibles don't have B pillars... or C pillars..... I would rather drive a Lincoln with disappearing doors, than a car with a cloth roof.... Quote

Super User fourbizz Posted March 12, 2009 Super User Posted March 12, 2009 Ok seriously. We have had the same car doors going on 120 years now. MAYBE ITS BECAUSE THEY WORK JUST FINE! LOL Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted March 13, 2009 Super User Posted March 13, 2009 Looks like I will have to replace the lambo doors on the Oldsmobile Quote
