Daniel A. Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Nirvana - Nevermind (with Unplugged a very close 2nd) Metallica - Toss up between Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets Slipknot - Slipknot 10 Years - Killing All That Holds You I doubt many of you have heard of the last band. I've followed them since they were a local band in TN. As most bands, they're trending the wrong way after signing on with a major record label. : Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted February 28, 2009 Super User Posted February 28, 2009 Funny how half of these listed were never actually on a (record) album! I still say there's something about that crackling on an old hi-fi set. Here's a some favorites that I actually own (on vinyl; well, one's on 8-track): Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon Beatles- Abbey Road CCR- Cosmos Factory Styx- Paradise Theatre (it has a really cool prismatic emblem embedded in it) Do I have anything to play them on now. . . well, uh. . ? I do! I have a turntable that I paid over $300 for back in the days of vinyl. I also have about a hundred albums. Alas, I am no longer an Audiophile. I prefer to go fishing. My loss. My gain. Quote
