Super User roadwarrior Posted June 11, 2008 Super User Posted June 11, 2008 I fish either a Gamakatsu or XPoint 4/0 EWG Offset Worm Hook. 8-) Quote

Texas rigged and with a 7.5in Zoom Mag 2 I rarely fish worms that big around here, shakey head and drop shot are pretty big up here in the northwest. Some guys on here will chime in and tell you what they are using. Quote
CookieMonst3r Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I use Eagle Claw 3/0 or 5/0 EWG worm hooks. Quote
guitarkid Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I prefer Gammie EWG but this is mostly on weightless weedless trickworms and senkos. -searoach Quote
garry77 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I prefer a 4 or 5/0 Gammie EWG most of the time. Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted June 12, 2008 Super User Posted June 12, 2008 I use owner for just about any application I could use one on. Quote
Super User Catt Posted June 12, 2008 Super User Posted June 12, 2008 Mustad Straight Shank Denny Brauer Flipping Hook Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 xpoints for most of my applications. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted June 12, 2008 Super User Posted June 12, 2008 I use Gamakatsu EWG's exclusively. Falcon Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted June 12, 2008 Super User Posted June 12, 2008 I use the BPS EWG hooks in 2/0, 3/0, and 4/0 sizes. Quote
JigNBig Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 4/0 Owner. Just a thicker wired hook. I have straightened out gammies but you will never straighten an Owner. Quote
grid Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 mostly Gamma EWG 5/0. If I can find them I will buy Owner 5/0 rig-n-hook. sucker is sharp! Quote
Super User Tin Posted June 13, 2008 Super User Posted June 13, 2008 I go with Owner. Pick up a Gammy EWG and play with it and bend it and such. A little too flexable for my liking, I wouldn't feel comfortable with a big fish on that hook. :-? Quote
Micropterus salmoides Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 The Gamakatsu EWGs are one of my favorite hooks but I prefer to use a hook with a smaller gap on a thin ribbon tail worm, like the 7" Power Worms, for example. I like the 4/0 Gamakatsu Offset Round Bend Worm Hooks. I currently have the 4/0 Sugoi hook tied on to my jig & worm rods since I was using other soft plastics so I may give them a try before I switch over to the Offset Round Bends. Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted June 13, 2008 Super User Posted June 13, 2008 For a standard 7.5'' worm, I'd go with an offset 4/0. I only use EWG when the worm is very thick and I have to. My tackle box is starting to flood with Owner hooks. Quote
