Tom H. Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 So I just got home from work , and sitting on the kitchen table is a new Falcon fishing rod , with the following note - Happy Valentines Day I love you , but IF you go fishing as much this year w/out me . I'll break this S.O.B. into so many pieces you'll be crying Love C Ain't she a great woman or what regards - Tom Quote
Big Tom Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 That sounds like one awesome woman right there. I guess you better keep her around for a while. Quote
IDbasser Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Looks like you have someone to fish with. You have a keeper. Quote
Tom H. Posted February 13, 2009 Author Posted February 13, 2009 Oh she's a keeper alright . puts up with my fishing , dog training , hunting habits . What else could I ask for . Now if I could just get her to learn how to use a spinning reel or baitcaster and lures, all would be good ( that woman is stuck on the ol' 33 and live bait ) Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 13, 2009 Super User Posted February 13, 2009 Keep it simple. Get her a spinning rig and several XCalibur Xr50 or maybe plain ole Rat-L-Traps. After she catches a few bass, you will have her turned around and can work on some other techniques, lures and presentations. 8-) Quote

Fisher of Men Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 My wife and me are planning on hitting the water together more this year, too. She's beyond live bait and a Zebco, but still not as hardcore as I am. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 14, 2009 Super User Posted February 14, 2009 If my wife did that, she would be looking for a new place to live. Quote
Branuss04 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 that's sweet, but the first thing I would do is find out what the warranty situation is on those rods :-X Quote
