Bass Dude Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Anybody listen to Sirius while they're driving to the lake, making lures or messing with your tackle. What's your favorite station? I would have to go with Jam-On---I love all the live stuff they play. Quote
atx_newbie Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 My girlfriend has it in her car, so I get to listen to it a lot. I really like all the comedy channels. Only bad thing, all the buildings in downtown chicago really make the reception spotty. Quote
TheBeast Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 In the truck I moslty listen to the comedy channels and I have the 80's station on in the garage all day while at work. Quote
fishingfourfun Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I really like the 70's and 80"s. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted February 6, 2009 BassResource.com Administrator Posted February 6, 2009 We have it in our boat, and listen NASCAR, 80's, and country while fishing. Quote
fishizzle Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Old Skool Rap and Hair Nation (80's hair bands) and Can't forget Bubba the Love Sponge on 101 Quote
1inStripes Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I pop on a little bit of everything. Its about time for the Nascar channel to be tuned into. Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 6, 2009 Super User Posted February 6, 2009 1. Old classic stories along with the new story channel. 2. Fox News. 3. Second Fox Channel. 4. 60's 5. 103 for Foxworthy and The Cable Guy plus other joke channels. 6. Elvis 7. Washington DC traffic reports to see how screwed up traffic is in the area since I am not there. 8. Dirty joke stations. 9. ESPN Sports 10. NASCAR when the season begins later this month. I flip all around, going from Fox to Classic and New stories to the jokes to the 60s to Elvis. Never listen to commercials. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 6, 2009 Super User Posted February 6, 2009 Never listen to commercials. You must change the channel a lot. Since the merger, XM has been chock full of commercials. Last time I'll renew my sub. Quote
BadKarma42 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Octane Lithium NFL Radio Howard 100, 101 Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted February 6, 2009 Super User Posted February 6, 2009 I put it in my work truck five years ago. Best investment I ever made. The guys that broke my stones about paying for radio back then all have it in their trucks now. I work from Connecticut to Virginia. Nothing like not having to search for stations every 75 miles. I'm as bad with the remote in the truck as I am in the house. Many times I've gone through every channel on long trips just to see what's going on. Quote
TheBeast Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Oh yeah I can't believe I forgot bout the Elvis station. Forgive me though I haven't had that station but a couple months since the merger, I have XM. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted February 6, 2009 Super User Posted February 6, 2009 i really like Octane. Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 7, 2009 Super User Posted February 7, 2009 Burley, Thank Heaven for the 60s and Elvis. I go to either immediately when a commercial comes on. ;D Quote

simplejoe Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I got it in my work van about 2 years ago. My favorite is Blue Collar Comedy channel. When I'm at the store I go on-line and listen to it, That's a nice feature I thought. Quote

Hey SimpleJoe---Quick question--I got online this weekend to listen, I got a prompt that says as of March 11 you can no longer listen to Sirius for free online, unless you renew your subscription. But even if resign, after that subscription runs out, then you have to pay anyway. Have you heard or seen that same thing? Quote
BadKarma42 Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I have not noitced any increase in commercials on the music stations. Come to think of it, I don't notice any commercials on the music stations. The talk and variety stations do have the commercials to pay the bills, but nowhere near as much as terrestrial radio. Quote
bmadd Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 BB King's Blues The Bridge Lithium That's about it. Quote

I got the same message after March 11 you gotta pay $2.99 month for on-line listening. I don't think I'll upgrade, It was a nice feature for free now that I have to pay for it. I don't like it that much ;D Quote
Hookem Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Lifetime subscriber! But I miss Sirius Blues. Bluesville is ok but nothing like the former. Quote
bmadd Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Yea Bluesville is a lot different. Haven't had mine on much lately, do they still do Daily Cup of Joe and the Chess Record Hour? Quote
bass or bass ? Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I agree with the comments about the blues channels. Also, I think The Vault was much better than Deep Tracks. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~ Quote
