I just finished this swingset for a couple of my grandchildren:

You are welcome to come over here and set one up for Jackson.

Start saving your money.  All that stuff is expensive.

I wish I had a picture here at work to post but that is EXACTLY what I built my daughter last year.  I'd be willing to bet that the swings, slide and tarp on the roof came from Home Depot.

Yes, it's expensive but much less than buying a pre-built one.

Looks great and the kids will enjoy it!

Some came from Home Depot and some from Lowe's.  They were all made by Swing-N-Slide.  I just downloaded the plans from their Web site but I didn't buy the whole kit from them.

Having a sliding compound miter saw made this a much easier job.

Something's wrong with your hat...

I hope Jack grows up to be a point guard at Louisville.   ;D

Beautiful.

Good job.

And my grand dog is crazy about me like your granddaughters are crazy about you.  ;)

Swing-N-Slide....that's the name of it!  Same place I got the idea for my daughters.   Anyway, looks great and they'll have tons of fun.

I got to thinking about the swing set since my wife and I decided to write a note to our son about all of the items in our home and to put index cards with the history of some of the furniture that is from our families on the backsides of the furniture.

It would be great to have a brass plaque made with the details of who, when and why built specific things, like the swing set.

So when the grandchildren show the swing set to their grandchildren there will be a plaque telling them who made it, the year, etc. to memorialize the history for future generations.

The problem my wife and I are having revolves around who gets what, other than my son and his wife.

Hard decisions, especially when the items are worth quite a bit of money.  :)
