I knew it, this appanently was said in a Costas interview:

Costas' tete-a-tete with Springsteen was entertaining, with pop-culture maven Costas asking The Boss why he chose to do the halftime show this year after being asked numerous times before.

"I have an album to promote, dummy," Springsteen cackled. "It's not rocket science."

I lost whatever respect I had left for the Steelers last night.

Sounds like you didn't have any to begin with. ::)

They played a great game and made some dumb mistakes on some personal fouls the same as the Cards did. They also did as I feared they would do; feel they had the game in hand (20-7) and ease up, keeping the door open. It ended up being a great Superbowl with a lot of momentum swings.

For those that have watched the Steelers play all year, that final, game winning drive was one of many this season orchestrated by Big Ben. He may not post gaudy numbers but he's grown into a pretty clutch guy that can lead that team.

I am sure they can live with that, seeing as they have the rings/

Congrats, Steelers!!!

What a great game. The Cards played very well. I was on edge during the fourth. They have a lot to build on for next year.

For the most part, the Steelers D held the Cards in check. Big Ben and the offense played very well. Santonio Holmes is a big game receiver.

Way to go Steelers!! No other team has six in the case.

I agree with Madden. He should have been tossed. That was disgraceful.

I guarantee he will be fined and I bet he is suspended for a few

games next year. Otherwise, a huge black eye for the NFL:

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!

I'm a Steelers fan, But there was no reason for that. I'm surprised he wasn't tossed out, NFL will fine him, like they did to Heinz Ward twice this season for Unnecessary Roughness.

Congrats to the Steelers and their fans!!

I didn't watch the game in real-time, but zoomed through it afterward.

Here are some of my thoughts:

- I wish the game could just be about football again (no more presidential interviews, singers, and other fanfare).

- The NFL should go ahead and ban touching the quarterback.  Warner gets speared and no call.  BIG 245 lb. Ben gets a slight push and a flag is thrown.  Come on! At least call it consistently.

- I'm still not sure if Holmes foot was on the ground.  Only he knows, and he's not telling.

- The Cardinals deserved one more play.  Warner's arm was going forward.

- I agree that the 100 yard interception was the play of the game, or Pitt would not have been in the position to win it.

-The MVP should have gone to Ben.  There's no way Holmes had a chance if that ball wasn't thrown that far outside.

The game itself was a good one.  I look forward to see if Warner returns for next season.  If the Cards can make some adjustments on their defense, they will contend again next year.

The second half of the last quarter was very entertaining and suspenseful. I was hoping the Cardinals would come from behind and win. However, they did not not. The Steelers played a great game and dominated for 3 1/2 quarters. That last catch by Holmes was SICK!!!

Congrats to the Steelers and all their fans.  :D

why do the steelers always need the refs to help them win?

Because they dont have any Belichik cronies to film the other team... ::)

You sound like Glenn....

i like how you assume i'm a patriots fan.  it's been clear over the last 5 seasons that in big games the steelers had the refs help them pull it out.  the NFL is the only sport who has ref issues during their biggest games.  they need to can all the old buck refs and get some people who can see.

Kinda like you assume the refs were "helping" the Steelers win?  To me, "helping" implies that there was some secret pact to give the Steelers an unfair advantage.  Until that fact is proven publicly, there is really nothing concrete, only assumptions...

It was a great game and obviously I am happy that my team won.  Arizona is a great team and impressed me a lot.  It could have gone either way, but I am convinced that the better team won.

I just dont get how its always someone's opinion that the Steelers are seen as the refs' golden boys....

well when the majority of the people outside of steelers fans see's it that way their must be something going on. your opinion is biases because you are a steelers homer.  there is no way they will come out in say it, hell even goddell wouldn't even show bellicheats video tapes because it will ruin the league. yeah the steelers are a better team but  very questionable penalties favored the steelers which gives them the unfair advantage and extra oppurtunities and takes time off the clock.  i am not convinced the better team won last night.

Understood.

Takes some cojones to admit that, BTW.   ;)
