CJ Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 I made it back home. I got power and cable but many people still don't. It's real spotty for those who have and those who don't. I am exhausted to say the least. Now I got to get to work and start fixing these houses that have been damaged. Kind of a bitter sweet i guess. Quote
Super User Paul Roberts Posted February 2, 2009 Super User Posted February 2, 2009 Wow! So sorry to hear, CJ. Glad you could at least find safe haven for a bit, and that you're stuff was still your stuff when you got back. Quote

Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted February 3, 2009 Super User Posted February 3, 2009 Wimps,...buy a generator, we deal with this stuff all the time. lol just kidding Glad all is well, hope everything gets back to normal soon The last I heard, some of the closest generators were in marion ohio and going for about 1200 for a small one. The closest kerosene heater was nashville tn. We got it kinda bad here in Richmond KY as well... last tuesday I had 1 1/2' of ice on my car and took me 45 minutes to get 1 mile to work... got power now but had to sleep at the hospital a few nights....we had over 12,000 peope without electric on Wednesday.
