Promised my co-worker that if the Iggles made the Subpar Bowl, I would work for him on Subpar Bowl Sunday so he could watch the game.

That OT would have been nice... :'(

Was looking like they were going to have it when they started coming back. But they ended up getting shut down. You might want someone to record the game for you. Arizona and Pittsburgh (when they win tonight's game) will be a great match up.

I have the AFC title game on, but my local CBS affliate has decided that we aren't worth of getting clear audio or video.

What I was really doing was smoking a cig, I have about ten left that I have to smoke before I go to bed. The wife said I couldn't smoke no more after tonight.

You know its bad when the Cards make it to the SB.   Oh well, I would like the Steelers to win today, but don't want them to win the SB and pass Dallas for most SB titles.

I'm absolutely delighted the Cards made into the Superbowl!

I've said it before - the NFC West is much tougher division than anyone realizes.  As long as people don't give the division credit, they're going to keep getting "surprised".

As far as Steelers - ya, they'll make it in.  The refs are once again making sure of that - a non "roughing the kicker" penalty, the unnecessary roughness perpetrated by the Steelers that's NOT getting called.  And now a Raven's player is seriously hurt because the refs have been letting the Steelers get away with it.  A blatant helmet-to-helmet hit on a vulnerable receiver (he absolutely let with his helmet) - and the refs AGAIN didn't call it!

I don't understand how those refs can sleep at night.

So we'll see the Cards and rusty Steelers in the SB.  But the Steelers will win - only because not ONE team in the NFL can beat the Steelers in the SB until the corrupt refereeing is fixed.

Sorry for the rant.  But to see a player carted off in a stretcher with a potential career-ending injury because the refs are allowing the Steelers to get away with plays like just chaps my hide.  >:(

The helmet to helmet rule is only for QB's, that was a legal hit.

Now the roughing the kicker was pure crap, and a few other missed calls so far. But the ravens defense has not make a few 3rd and long plays they normally do....

I agree.  The Ravens didn't bring their "A" game.  They lost the game - the Steelers didn't win it.

Evidently the refs didn't bring their "A" game either.  ::)

The Cards are pretty good, but what other NFC West team was worth a plug nickel?  It was a close tie between it and the NFC North for the worst NFC division.  The East and South were both a lot tougher top to bottom.

Are you serious?   :-?

Wow, and I thought the Duke-haters were bad.

The helmet to helmet rule IS NOT just for quarterbacks. Even so, it was a correct no-call because McGahee lowered his head into the hit.

you cant be serious. as already mentioned the defender led with his shoulder but McGahee tried to get low before the hit and so his helmet come into contact with the defenders. plus he didnt sign up to play in the NFL thinking it would be a cake walk. your gonna get hit Hard. its unfortunate that he was injured but something like this was bound to happen in a ravens steelers title game

Quoting Fish Man... Steelers vs Ravens = smashmouth football. Someone's gonna get hurt.

So.... Steelers, Cardinals?? I can't see anything happening here except a Steelers blowout.

I may be wrong here, but I don't think a helmet to helmet penalty IN THE GAME can be called of that nature. The offensive player had the ball and was making an offensive move. Now had he been a QB or a defenseless receiver, yeah I think it can get called.

I do however think he can get fined.

I've been rooting for the Ex-St Louis football team led by the Ex-St Louis Rams quarterback.

Weird enough.

This years Super Bowl match-up looks a lot like last year's,

except the Cardinals have a much better chance of beating

the Steelers than the Giants were given against the Pats!

8-)

Have been a Kurt Warner fan since St. Louis. Cards have my support.

I hope the Steelers get their ***** kicked, can't stand them at all. Kurt Warner will stick it to em.

Cards have are very hot right now. I like there chances of beating Pitt.

If the Cards can put up a quick 14 points on Pitt (I know, a tall order), Pitt's sluggish offense might have a hard time digging itself out.

Warner and Fitzgerald are going to be a very dagerous tandem.

Glenn, dont hate.... ::)

The only helmet to helmet contact was more by McGahee.  When the defender hit him WITH A SHOULDER PAD, McGahee's facemask earholed Clark.  It was a massive hit that legally occurred.

Nothing shady about it.  Trust me, it could have been much worse if there were ill intent behind that hit.

;D

Respectfully, I disagree. Yeah, I'm a Steeler fan but you've got to be joking about the refs 'fixing' that game. Seriously.

#1. That roughing the punter call WAS bogus but it amounted to no points. If they were trying to fix it on that series don't you think they would have given Pittsburgh 1 second to kick a field goal instead of ruling that time expired?

#2. Harrison was being held most of the night and only got 1 call.

#3. MaGahee hit: Go look at that clip on youtube; Ryan Clark lowers his shoulder AND led slightly with it to hit MaGahee. MaGahee was the one who lowered HIS head for the contact. The impact of two 200+ lbs guy hitting each other caused their helmets to hit. If anyone is at fault, it's MaGahee.

I respect you Glenn but you seem to have a hatred for the Steelers. Are you by chance a Seahawk or Baltimore fan? Really, that post of yours doesn't jive with the game last night.

Kurt Warner "sticking it to them?"  I didn't know it was April Fools Day!

Seahawks. Still bitter about XL....

I was going to ask about that but chose against it.

Go Steelers!!

On the topic, I wish the Eagles would have won. I think McNabb is a better quarterback than the media and Philly fans care to recognize. I'd like to see him win a Super Bowl.
