My friend went to Wal Mart the other day and I had him pick me up some YUM Grape Red Flake worms. I told him I wanted 7.5" and 10". When he came back, I thought he had bought two different kinds of worms. The 10" are a red color with small purple flakes in them and the 7.5" is a dark purple with red flakes. Has anyone else experienced this at all??

There can be all kinds of variations of colors for various runs of any product.  If you don't think so, try matching wall paper from different stores or the same brand carpet from different stores.  It is impossible to get the exact color match from one run to th next - BTW the fish don't know the difference.

I think sometimes the manufacturers just f up good when they're packaging their products. As many worm colors as there are, it would be easy to mix up one with another and package about 1000 of them that way before anybody at the plant notices it. Red with purple glitter, or purple with red glitter. Probably trained a new guy that day. :o

Sounds like they transposed the plastic/flake color, or he just bought two different colors.  It sounds like he bought a package of grape/red flake and a package of plum crazy.

The thing is he couldnt have just bought the wrong thing and the manufactorer couldn't have just accidently messed up because I had him buy 5 of the 10" and 5 of the 7.5" and they were all different colors and every package said grape red flake. It doesn't matter though because I took them out yesterday and caught a new PB along with many many many others on them so I'm content with whatever works.
