Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted January 16, 2009 Super User Posted January 16, 2009 CSI fans that DVR'ed tonight's episode are going to be ticked. The presidential speech pushed everything back 15 minutes. Those who DVR'ed are going to miss the last part of Grissom's last episode. :-/ I usually never watch shows live. If I am home I normally let the DVR get a 15 to 20 minute head start and then I start watching. That way I can basically skip all commercials. I lucked out tonight. I normally go have a few drinks with my buddies on Thursdays. Tonight was too dam cold. If I would have missed the last part of this episode I would have been ticked. > Quote

Her only consolation is that she can watch it ON Demand with Comcast. Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted January 17, 2009 Author Super User Posted January 17, 2009 Who do you have your DVR through? My Dish DVR noted the changes and made the appropriate adjustments. My cable is through SureWest/Everest. My DVR box is at least 2 years old, maybe pushing 3. Maybe the newer ones adjust themselves like you say? Might have to look into that. huskertko .... So you can watch current episodes ON Demand with Comcast? That's a pretty cool feature. When I lived in Lawrence my service from Comcast/Sunflower was awful. Awful price, awful features, awful customer service. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 17, 2009 Super User Posted January 17, 2009 My DVR downloads program guide updates every night. FWIW, you can watch the episode on CBS.com. Quote

Luckily all the shows my wife watches are on ON Demand, that way she doesn't record them to the DVR, taking up space. Quote
