A heat wave is coming, this weekend it's supposed to get into the 20's. Time to break out the short pants.

It's -8 here, with a wind chill of -23. It's supposed to hit -10 tonight, then tomorrow we're expecting 3"-7" of snow. The weather man said the temps will climb all the way to 32 by Wednesday.

                 IS IT SPRING YET??????????

I had -4 in the truck on the way to work.  Diesels don't like that chit, didn't start blowing warm air out of the heat till I was about 2-3 miles form the store.

It was showing 1.9 at 5:30 this AM at the house.  Dropped to 1.4 before I left for work.  YAY.  Makes me want to go sit barechested at a football game.

-7 outside here when it gets this bitter i leave the kitchen faucet drip because it freezes in my 5 year old townhouse .i woke up a 2.30 am and checked the faucet cold water fine, hot side froze got so ticked i started taking off the drywall in the unheated garage below looking for the copper lines only to find they are up above the header. i guess running behind the kitchen counter and stove i guess i will wait for the sun to warm up the outside wall ive ripped out enough drywall. how many days till spring ?

Other than that we are just special, I think it has to do with what the jet stream is doing right now.  Should have plugged the car or truck in last night, can't start either one. :(

This time of year, we are actually insulated by Lake Ontario.  That big body of water might only be 35°F, but it holds a lot of heat.  The downside is when that cold air picks up moisture and then dumps it in the form of lake effect precipitation.  Its cold here, but not unbearable.  Hit the negatives last night.  The weather station down the street is reporting 7.5°F.

You crazy, man!

The predicted high for tomorrow is only 47, so we're waiting

until 10-11:00 to get on the water.
