atx_newbie Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Anyone see #5 on Oklahoma pulling on Harvin's leg after that tackle? He has got to be the dirtiest college player I have ever seen. The guy is a thug. I watched him talk crap and hit late (and generally act like a thug) against Texas Tech when they were up a few scores and he's playing dirty again in this game. What a d I thought I just imagined that! He pretty obviously cranked Harvin's foot over, knowing he has a weak ankle. On a side note, that is now the second time Florida has run the option with the pitch going inside. That's a new one for me, and one that I really like to watch.

Yeah, those inside shovel passes are great. They do that a LOT. I remember Urban Meyer running that play at Utah also. Great game. Florida's defense looked great, especially with the two goal line stands and great coverage in the secondary.
Super User 5bass Posted January 9, 2009 Super User Posted January 9, 2009 Choke-lahoma forgot to bring the offense to the game. And yes, I saw Harris put a little hot sauce on that tackle on Harvin. You'd think if they were going to try to take out Harvin, they would've done it in the first quarter, not the 4th. ;D Although I thought Bradford deserved the Hesiman b/c of his insane #'s this year, if the Heisman was given after tonight's NC game, it would be in Tebow's trophy case right beside his other one. He's just a great player, period.
Super User Root beer Posted January 9, 2009 Super User Posted January 9, 2009 Ole Miss beat texas tech Florida beat Oklahoma Anymore reasons why SEC is better then big 12? Utah could beat the big 12.
Daniel A. Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Does Stoops gameplan with Tressel. Didn't he lose his 5th consecutive BCS bowl game last night??? I wonder if he's earned an exit yet. Way to represent the SEC Florida! Three National Championships in three years...Is there a better conference?
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 9, 2009 Author Super User Posted January 9, 2009 Congratulation to Florida and the SEC If the game had turned out the other way, I'd never stop rubbing it in! 8-)
Super User Catt Posted January 9, 2009 Super User Posted January 9, 2009 FYI SEC 5 out of 11 BCS Championships SEC back to back to back BCS Champions BCS Championship record by conference SEC 5-0 Big 12 2-4 PAC 10 1-1 Big Ten 1-2 ACC 1-2 Big East 1-2 Your Strength of Schedule will be higher based on solely on the fact you're in the SEC why is that so hard to understand? Y'all can throw all the stats out here y'all want but Whoot There It Is

Y'all can throw all the stats out here y'all want but Whoot There It Is Just love that Big-12 record. They have become the WAC of the midwest. Football east of the Big-12 is played on a whole nother level... I'm sure I'm biased, but the crowds and game just appear to be(Weekin and weekout) a better enjoyment package. You won't understand unless you have attended SEC ballgames.
Super User Root beer Posted January 9, 2009 Super User Posted January 9, 2009 Also, that was a dirty dirty game of football. Lot of jawing and pushing and shoving.
Daniel A. Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I cracked up when Tebow ran over to Harris in the 4th and Gator Chomped at him. I'm sure he said something like "Why can't you contain the 4th best quarterback in the nation?"

BassinSoldier Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 It came on at 4:30am our time here at the MWR center and I got to watch the whole game! Great football game! I did see Harvin's leg get yanked...I was pretty P.O.ed about that, with no flags. Tebows lil' 4th quarter gator chomp was awesome too. Anybody else think Tebow would get drafted as a fullback? ;D I've never seen a QB run over LB's or safeties like he does. 2 championships in 3 years, GO GATORS!!! 3-3 for my SEC!!! 8-)
hjerk24 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 His black eye stickers were AWESOME!!! John 3:16.... Good for him, and what a great stage to share the Message! "That's all I have to say about that..." Don't know much about college football....so I would not even attempt a comment about the game, etc...
fathom Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 they don't call him tebow of nazareth for nothing. the man just drinks different water than most of us do.
Super User Long Mike Posted January 11, 2009 Super User Posted January 11, 2009 hjerk, In my opinion, Tebow's eye stickers were inappropriate and should not have been allowed. There are millions of people who watched the game (or will watch it on reruns) who do not share his beliefs, or yours.
Super User BrianinMD Posted January 11, 2009 Super User Posted January 11, 2009 Thank you Long Mike....

What's your problem Mike? > He spelled "John" right! ;D By the way, I doubt anyone changed the channel because of Tebow's eye stickers.
Super User Hookemdown. Posted January 11, 2009 Super User Posted January 11, 2009 Timmy was just expressing his freedom of speech... While on the eye black topic, I learned that the stickers are ineffective compared to the original grease. http://archopht.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/abstract/121/7/997

While on the eye black topic, I learned that the stickers are ineffective compared to the original grease. http://archopht.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/abstract/121/7/997 You are right about that. ESPN Gameday did a special on the eye black earlier this season. It all started with Reggie Bush at USC, he put his zip code on the black, then everyone else started doing it.

If he put Triton Boats there would be some who don't share his beliefs; it's what he believes so get over yourself.

I sure hate when people use that silly old freedom of speech to express that even sillier freedom of religion...
hjerk24 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Thanks for your opinion. I feel a certain, way, and so do you. Either way we both win, because that's what makes the USA so great, we can share opinions, and still respect one another. God Bless---or not, your choice. Jamie End of the religious discussion for me. Just a choice.
